Such a space saver

Love these Medela sanitizing bags. They are very easy to use, fit many nipples, pacifiers, and pump supplies at once. Also fits bottles to sanitize them as well. Only takes 3 quick minutes in my wattage microwave. The best thing about the product is that it saves so much space compared to a traditional microwave sanitizer. And they can be used up to 20 times making them super cost effective. I love these!

Does the job

I've used these to steam both my breast pumps and bottles for my 6 week old. I love the convience of not having to stand around and boil to clear out germs. I put only 4 tho because they are kind of hard to dry out and during microwaving I get a melting plastic smell, but nothing has been damaged.

A must for easy cleaning.

I use these bags 5 days a week to steam clean my breastpump parts at the end of the day. They are very easy to use, and you can get a lot of uses from each bag; I usually used one bag for 4 weeks. I like how there's a place on the bag to keep track of how often it's uses. I do wish it were easier to dry. I wipe it with a paper towel and let it sit out to dry, but it still is a little damp in the bottom corners. Maybe there's something else I should do to dry it all. Amother slight complaint is that the instructions say it can be used to clean rhe valve assembly parts. Based on that wording,I thought I could steam clean the white valves used eith my pump (ameda pureky yours). I later learned from an ameda customer service rep that I should not steam clean the white valves because it could cause yhem to not function properly. But other than that those two small complaints, I like the bags and they make cleaning my beastpump parts easy. Ease of Cleaning Cleaning is easy, getting it dry is a little harder. Durability The bag is very durable as long as you follow the recommended number of uses. Ease of Use Very easy to use with the instructions on each bag.

Great for Working Moms!

I went back to work when my baby was 3 months old. I pumped at work for 11 months, twice a day. I really did not have time to wash all the parts after each pumping session. After I pumped in the morning, I would rinse all the parts (not bottles--used those to store the milk) well with water, then use the Medela Quick Steam bags to sterilize them. I would then lay the parts to dry in my pump & they would be clean & dry for my afternoon pumping session. I did wash them with soap & water each night, but these were great for while I was at work or when travelling. Ease of Cleaning After using, I just dried it out with a paper towel & kept it in my pump bag. Durability You can use each bag up to 20 times. There is a little chart that shows how many times you can use it; you just check off each time to keep track. Versatility Works for pump parts, but also pacifiers, bottles, & other baby items that need a quick cleaning. Ease of Use So easy to use! Just put a little water in & microwave it. Simple! I used one of my pumping bottles to measure the water.

Does what it says

Being a first time mom, I'm still in the very germaphobic stage of mommyhood. I have the Medela double electric breast pump and the breastfeeding storage system. I never imagined how many little (and sometimes big) parts there are to take apart and sanitize. I bought these bags at Babies-R-Us, which as you can imagine made them a little pricey, but I figured my baby's health was well worth it. Using this bag the first time, I had to re-read the instructions a few times to make sure I wasn't going to mess up my expensive breast pump and bottles, but once you use them once, you have the hang of it! My main complaints about these bags are that they look like you could fit a lot more in them than you really can. Based on the instructions (Which I ALWAYS follow), you can only sanitize two 5oz bottles in the bag. When you have a ton of bottles plus breast pump parts and you have to microwave them 2-3 minutes each in small batches...yeah it's pretty darn time consuming. I'd recommend doing this BEFORE your baby comes and then just using the bags once a month or as needed for stubborn stuck on milk. Each bag can be used up to 20 times, which makes 100 uses in a box. Each bag has neat little check boxes for you to keep track of how many times you've used them. Just be careful pouring the water out of the bags, even after letting it set in the microwave, it was still pretty hot.
