Medela Pump in Style Reviews

I purchased a Medela Pump In Style Breast Pumpafter having my first baby. I was determined to breastfeed despite suffering from mastitis and intraductal yeast in the first week after giving birth and my midwife suggested that I get lots of rest, find a bra that would fit (ended up with a cup size G), and purchase a good quality breast pump.

Well, the lactation consultant just so happened to have a size G bra handy and the Birth Center had this Medela Pump in Style breast pump in stock. I was at least able to do two of the three things she suggested. I still haven't gotten any rest and I now have...

I got the Medela Pump in Style right after my daughter was born.  My daughter was in the hospital for several weeks after I was released so I was forced to start pumping early. Bought this with my first and it was amazing.  I needed to pump a supply so that I could have surgery when she was just under 1 month old.  This pump was gentle and effective.   It was the perfect breastpump.  It traveled well, was easy to clean, and the storage containers were perfect.

Medela is the only brand of breast pumps I would ever consider buying.  The pump and style backpack is wonderful.  It carries everything you need for pumping discreetly.  It comes with a battery pack backup, which was nice to have when we had a power outage. The optional car adaptor to purchase is wonderful for traveling. I was able to pump in the car discreetly without having to stop to pump. It comes with not only the battery pack, but tubing, a cooler bag, ice pack, bottles for storing and to feed baby if you choose, and an initial set of storage bags to freeze your milk, along with directions...

The medella pump in style is a briefcase appearing double electric pump with options for a battery/car adaptor.  It's compact, discreet and convienient. It doesn't scream to the world "breast pump".  The double or single pumping bottles work well with auto cycling and hands free use when combined with medela's nursing bra.  (The bra cup opens from 3:00 to 9:00 rather than drop down flaps so the pump horns can be inserted and pumping can happen hands free!) 

This pump is a bit pricy, I paid $170 BUT it is so much faster and more effective and kept up my milk supply once back to work full time...

I love the Medela Pump in Style double breast pump. I've used it for 14 months, about three times a day and it still does it's job.

Before I purchased this pump, I used a First Years breast pump which died on me in a month. After that I used a Medela manual pump which was tedious and painful, until I decided to go with the Medela Pump in Style. This medela electic pump is the way to go!

I am a full-time working mom and the Medela Pump In Style has been a lifesaver for me.  I actually have two of them - one for home and one for work.  I exclusively breastfed my daughter for the first year and was lucky enough to have a boss who was supportive and was able to offer a discreet area to pump.  I took two pump breaks a day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, and the Medela Pump In Style worked beautifully for me.

The Medela Pump In Style Advanced is great!  I'm a working mother of 2 beautiful boys and without this I would not be able to continue breastfeeding.  The pump is very efficient, easy to use and stylish too.  No one will know what you are carrying!

 While I am at work, which consists of mostly men, I can carry this with confidence.  The pump is fairly quiet, so I just turn the radio on and no one knows what I'm doing.  While I am at home, I can easily carry it from room to room as sometimes I need to pump upstairs or downstairs to keep up with the boys!
