Medela Pump in Style Review

I am a full-time working mom and the Medela Pump In Style has been a lifesaver for me.  I actually have two of them - one for home and one for work.  I exclusively breastfed my daughter for the first year and was lucky enough to have a boss who was supportive and was able to offer a discreet area to pump.  I took two pump breaks a day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, and the Medela Pump In Style worked beautifully for me.

Not only am a full-time working mom I also travel from time to time and the Medela Pump In Style worked beautifully as a carry on when I flew.  It was discreet and I was able to store my reading material and iPod in it as well.  It comes with a battery pack for situations where you don't have access to an outlet (like in airport bathroom stalls).

It also comes with a freezer bag and ice pack for situations where you don't have immediate access to a refrigerator.

My child is now self weaning at 2 years so I do not have to pump at work any longer but I will definitely be putting the Pump In Style to work with our next child.  I do think I'll have to replace some parts like the tubes but it's been two years and that seems like such a small price to pay for something that I used multiple times a day and managed to survive many business trips.

In summary - I'd be lost without my Pump In Style.  It's a great value for an electric pump and it made my goal of exclusively breastfeeding easier to attain.
