I love the Medela Pump in Style double breast pump. I've used it for 14 months, about three times a day and it still does it's job.
Before I purchased this pump, I used a First Years breast pump which died on me in a month. After that I used a Medela manual pump which was tedious and painful, until I decided to go with the Medela Pump in Style. This medela electic pump is the way to go!
The pros: I like the fact that it looks sort of like a small cooler, so there's no strange looks when you tote it around. The suction and speed are adjustable, which is a huge plus for those of us who are just starting out who have pain and tenderness. It's also very quiet and won't wake the baby or cause concern if you are out of the house and trying to pump discreetly. Like I said, I've used it non-stop for over a year and it's still kicking. :) Also, it comes with a battery pack so you may use your pump even when an electrical socket isn't available, although it requires 8 batteries and drains them pretty quickly. I also have a car adapter if you wanted to pump in the car.
The Cons: There's only one. The faceplate had come off during cleaning and after I snapped it back on the adapter cord only works in certain positions, sort of like when your earphones are old they have to be in a specific spot to work.
But all in all, I do highly recomend this breast pump above all others, and have two friends who use the same model with nothing negative to say about it at all.
