Medela Pump in Style Review

Medela is the only brand of breast pumps I would ever consider buying.  The pump and style backpack is wonderful.  It carries everything you need for pumping discreetly.  It comes with a battery pack backup, which was nice to have when we had a power outage. The optional car adaptor to purchase is wonderful for traveling. I was able to pump in the car discreetly without having to stop to pump. It comes with not only the battery pack, but tubing, a cooler bag, ice pack, bottles for storing and to feed baby if you choose, and an initial set of storage bags to freeze your milk, along with directions and tips, and of course the convenient back pack to carry it all in.

 It is a double breast pump so you pump both at the same time to cut pumping time in half compared with the single ones on the market.  Between nursing and pumping, you are always doing one or the other, and this pump gave me more time to spend with my newborn.  Compared to other pumps on the market, it is on the pricey side, but well worth it. In the long run, with the price of formula, if you choose to nurse/pump, it will save so much money in the end compared to the initial price of purchasing this pump.  It's the brand hospitals use and I can see why.  It has multiple levels of suction for each individuals level of comfort.  It is easy to use, clean, and take anywhere. It is easy to get extra parts to replace, like the membranes, etc, if need be, which I recommend doing about every 3 months for better suction.  This is honestly the best pump on the market!
