I have been using the Medela Pump In Style Advanced for about 8 months, after going back to work when my baby was six weeks old. I use it at work, once or twice a day, and sometimes on the weekends. I've also flown cross-country with it several times as a carry-on. Occasionally someone official will ask me what it is or want to give it an extra screening, but other than that I've had no issues with taking it through security. Through all this, I have found it to be very solid and dependable, with no fuss or worries. It is lightweight although a little bulky, and simple to use. Once I developed...
review »The Medela Advanced Pump in Style breast pump is a great product. It is easy to assemble and use. It has a nice carrying case that has extra room for bottles and an ice pack. I took this thing everywhere with me. I never left home with out it so that I could pump wherever, whenever. It has an adapter that can be purchased separately so that you can even pup in your car. It may be weird to some to pump in your car, but if you are a dedicated breastfeeder, you will find that no where is off limits. This pump made breastfeeding so much easier. When I was in a place I felt uncomfortable...
review »After taking a breast feeding class just weeks before delivering my son, I knew I was pro-breastfeeding. The class teacher showed us different models for breast pumps but stronly encouraged breast feeding the ol' natural way. While I understood this to be the best option for my baby, I knew that in about three monts I would be venturing back to work and I wanted to breast feed my child for much longer than that. The only other option was to purchase a breast pump.
The Medela Pump In Style Shoulder Bag was the best option for me. The black bag it comes in was perfect for walking into the...
review »I bought this product because it was recommended by our hospital's lactation consultant. I am a working mom so I knew I'd be doing alot of pumping. Turns out, my baby never learned to latch on so all I did was pump! Needless to say, I had plenty of bonding time with my Pump-in-Style! I liked that I had complete control over the speed and could increase/decrease as needed instantaneously. The bag makes the process discrete and convenient...there was room for everything I needed.
There are only two downsides to this pump as far as I am concerned. The first is noise. I found it to...
review »Medela has made a wonderful product in thier breast pump. It is well made and comes in a case. the case is a black case that looks like a briefcase. if fact i carried it to work with me along with my regular work briefcase. the pump case had a right right sized compartment that came equpped with ice packs. this was so the milk that was expressed could then be placed in teh bag and kept cold until i would arrive home. my trip was fourty five minutes and it was conistently still cold at the end of that time. it took some time to get comfortabel with the feeling of using a pump. it...
review »I recieved the Medela Double Electric Breast Pump when I had my son and I loved it! It was lightweight and everything fit in its own bag so it was very very very very easy to use and carry around with me to work and school and friends houses if needed and to families houses. I had a car adaptor so it would work in my car, all I had to do was hook it up to the power outlet in my car and it would work! I got another one this year when I had my daughter and am just as happy with it as well! It comes with two size shields, four bottles to store my milk, Ice packs to keep my milk cold if I am out and...
review »I was given a Medela PISA by my sister-in-law who used it for three days while her son was in the hospital. I replaced all the parts and then started using it when I went back to work part-time when my son was 2 months old. I used it twice daily while part-time then three times a day when I went back to the office full time. While not the most quiet, it was quiet enough so that I could be on a conference call at work while pumping. It's very efficient and pretty gentle. I'd recommend it to anyone looking to buy a pump for longer-term use at home or in the office.
The Medela Advanced Pump In Style is wonderful. I exclusively breastfeed my son but every once and a while we let daddy feed him with a bottle. This is the best pump on the market, in my opinion. I only need an extra 15 minutes and can pump alot of milk for my son. I love that it is a double breast pump so I can finish so much faster! If you are a working mom that is wanting to pump milk while at work, this is the pump for you. Itis fast and discreet since the pump is within a black stylish carrying bag. I love this!
I tried numerous times to breastfeed my son. I contacted lactation consultants, hospital staff, as well as our pediatrician and my perinatologist. I exhausted every option from massaging the breats into his mouth to nipple shields to the cheaper store pumps and nothing helped build up breastmilk, disabling my aility to provide it to my newborn son. A friend told me about her Medela breast pump and told me that it was the brand the hospitals used. I looked around and finally purchased our Medela pump In Style Advanced with shoulder bag. It was amazing. The shoulder bag wasn't gaudy or...
review »I am a working, military mother with very little time to pump during the workday and at times very limited on space to pump. It having been 6 years since my last baby and my first Medela Breast Pump, it was time to move on to something a little more updated in style of the bag and I was looking for something that used a soft breast shield. So i went the cheap route and tried two other brands of breastpumps, waisting over $200 in the process because they could not even compare to the Medela Brand Breastpumps! I started researching and found the new Medela products and there were two...
review »Medela Pump in Style Advanced is an excellent breast pump for daily use for the working woman. I am using mine with my third child currently and it is still holding up very well. (I breast fed each of my children for one year.) It is a dual, electric breast pump that has adjustment knob for the amount of pressure to be used. It comes with wall outlet adapter, 4 bottles, a carrier, and a freezer pack for carrying milk from work to home. It is convenient and comes in a black case that looks like an over the shoulder bag. You can order an adapter to use a battery pack with it, but I don't...
review »I found that this product worked wonderfully around my schedule with my youngest. I tried several different pumps with my oldest, who couldn't seem to get the handle on nursing for quite some time. They were always slow and didn't get all the milk out that I felt I had for my baby. With the Madula, it works with my body, works in a fast manner so I can get on with other things I've got going on and I found that it was very easy to clean when I was done. It was convenient to carry around when we traveled. If you are planning on having several babies (more than 1), this would be worth the...
review »I absolutely love this breast pump. It is fast, easy to use and I can get replacement parts very easily when I need them. I even bought the car adapter for traveling and have loved having that convenience. This pump allows me to have my husband get up with baby atnight when I need to sleep and I can leave baby with my mom if I have an appointment. Before I got this, I couldn't go anywhere without baby, but now, I can go anywhere and not expose him to germs at my doctors office, etc. I really enjoy knowing that I can breastfeed, but still have help with babysitting if I need it. This...
review »I bought the medala pump in style breastpump 4.5 years ago when my daughter was born. I was a full time working mom and was forced to return to work after 8 weeks of maternity leave. The pump was a life saver. It is comfortable and gives you the option of different speed and pressure.
It is easy to use and since it comes is a shoulder bag no one knows what you are carrying in to work.
I am now breast feeding my second child and 3,5 years later the pump is still working great. It is easy to use and the little build-in isolation container will keep the milk cold until I am home. This is a great...
review »I have an 8 month old son and a few weeks after he was born, he had trouble gaining weight and his doctor told me to start pumping -- which I did. We started using the hospital grade pump which we rented for over two months and by that time he got a good latch on. However, since i was planning to go back to work and was dead against using formula, we decided on purchasing a breast pump.
We thought about getting a manual one which is a lot cheaper or maybe a single breasted one, to cut costs, but ended up buying the medela pump in style advanced instead.
When I pumped for the first time with...
