I have been using the Medela Pump In Style Advanced for about 8 months, after going back to work when my baby was six weeks old. I use it at work, once or twice a day, and sometimes on the weekends. I've also flown cross-country with it several times as a carry-on. Occasionally someone official will ask me what it is or want to give it an extra screening, but other than that I've had no issues with taking it through security. Through all this, I have found it to be very solid and dependable, with no fuss or worries. It is lightweight although a little bulky, and simple to use. Once I developed my own personal routine with it, I just set it to working and get back to my life -- e-mail, phone calls, whatever. Figuring out what works for you is key with this and any breastfeeding product -- give it and yourself some time, don't let yourself get stressed about it. Just figure out your own routine and process. I would buy another one exactly the same as this one if something did happen to it -- although it's so solid, I can't imagine anything will ever go wrong with it -- and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who needs an automatic pump The only thing I don't feel as positively about is the battery pack option. Since the pump needs a lot of juice, using a little box of AAs doesn't work out that well. They really should have some sort of rechargable battery pack instead.
