I used this product after the birth of my daughter, I attempted to pump with it and go all measures of different size breast shields ( which are hard to find especially in my area) and it broke within the first three months of having it.. not to meantime i had to keep it running on high for it to get any milk AND it didnt even get it all!

For my first baby, I decided to get a single breast pump because I didn't think I would use it much as a stay-at-home mom. Wrong! With my next baby, I knew from experience I'd need a double-electric pump, and received the Medela Pump In Style & Advanced Double Electric Breast Pump - The Metro Bag from a friend. What a time saver that pump was for me! It has a strong motor and pumps quickly and efficiently. The suction isn't uncomfortable, and it can be adjusted to a comfortable level for you. I like the availability of accessories so you can get parts that fit more comfortably if the standard sizes don't fit or if you need replacement parts. I was able to sit fairly comfortably while pumping and watch TV, read a magazine, etc. I like that you can buy breast milk storage bags that attach right to the pump so you can take the milk straight from the pump to the freezer. I also really like the convenience of having everything tucked away inconspicuously in one carrying bag.

I have had five children of my own and have breastfed every single one of them. With my last child she was born with a really horrible over bite and was having a lot of trouble latching on and getting a good latch, so we had a lot of trouble with breastfeeding. My insurance company bought a pump for me and it did not do any good, I could not get anything out of it and it was weak. I bought this one after a friend recommended it because it was so important to me that my baby be able to get breast milk for at least the first few months of life. This pump is a double so you can do both breast at one time, which saves a lot of time because pumping is very time consuming. I did find if I held my baby while pumping it all came out a lot faster and easier. This pump is what made it possible for my baby to have all the nutrients she needed from breast milk in her first few months of life until she was able to establish a good latch. It was easy to use, clean, and it never hurt. I loved this pump.

Great pump. Great accesories available for pkus size and larger breasted women too. I actually like my Medela Pump In Style & Advanced Double Electric Breast Pump With Metro Bag more than the hospital pump I was lent. It's quieter, less painful, more convenient and equally as effective (or at least it was for me). It's very durable too. I'm on kid number three and it's still going strong and looks like new. I did replace all the hoses and external parts and wipe down the motor / pump area with the Medela brand sterilizing wipes between kids though, since my kids were two years apart. The directions are on their website. I love that they have so many available accessories too. I'm plus-size but still found cups for my pump that are comfortable. The "Metro Bag" is really convenient to store everything but I wish it zipped shut. More than once my kids or myself have accidentally dumped it upside down and everything fell out. I have a habit of over-filling the bag too though. Not a deal-breaker for me regardless. It's a great pump.

I had my first daughter and had to go back to work full time 8 weeks after her birth. I knew I was going to need a good-quality pump since it is my goal to breastfeed for a minimum of one year. I was pointed toward this pump by several people, so I purchased it when I found it on sale. It's a very good pump. It comes with everything you need, but I would definitely suggest buying another set of flanges/valves/etc if you are going to need to pump more than once per day...that way, you won't have to wash your original set after each pumping...you can just wash everything when you get home. I like the removable cooler, and there is plenty of room in the bag for all of your accessories. It is very comfortable. I have to travel during the work day sometimes, and the battery packs works well. I have not used the car adapter, but if you are going to travel regularly, I would suggest buying it since the pump doesn't seem to be able to pump as hard with the battery pack...it seems to lose some suction. The pump parts aren't the easiest to clean, but it's not too difficult either. Medela's customer service is great too. 2 days before I had to return to work, my pump started having issues. I spoke to a representative on the phone, and they overnighted me a new pump...I didn't even have to send the original back before they would send it to me...they let me receive the new one first. The lady was so incredibly helpful too. I would highly recommend this product.

When I was pregnant, I knew that I wanted to provide breast milk for my child, but I also knew that I wanted my husband to share in the experience of feeding our child. I knew using a breast pump would be the best option and began researching. Speaking with other moms and reading reviews, I decided to go with a Medela brand pump, and eventually settled on the In Style model with the metro bag. I chose this model because I was returning to work when my child was 8 weeks old, and wanted the convenience of being able to take my pump to work. Having the pump within the bag, and space to carry all the accessories was great! Also, the pump was quiet, and the automatic let down function was fabulous to get things going. My 2 issues, although minor, are price and and the shields. This is not a cheap pump, at the same time though, it was worth the money, and I am holding onto it for our next baby. Secondly, the breast shields that came with the pump were too small. I realize women come in all different sizes, but trying to find the next size up (online & in-store) was difficult, confusing, and added more cost to an already pricey unit. Comfort It's as comfortable as you can expect for being hooked up to a machine for pumping breast milk. Ease of Cleaning The microwave steam clean bags that you can purchase additionally were perfect for fast & easy sterilization. Versatility It's a breast pump... what else are you going to use it for? Ease of Use Putting all the pieces together was easy, controls were accessible and easy to use. Only thing was that it is a double breast pump, but I never was able to master doing both at once.

I've heard so many pumping horror stories. I received my pump and gritted my teeth as I hooked up the flanges, expecting the worse. I turned on the pump, waiting to be pinched and pulled raw, but was pleasantly surprised when I hardly noticed the pump was even on. I will always stand by the Medela brand for breast pumps. Great for going back to work or just building up a stash so you can have a drink every now and again. The pump is comfortable, easy to clean, and long lasting. Comfort The flanges fit comfortably on and they have several different options if you need a smaller or larger flange. The suction is very comfortable. It gets the job done without leaving you sore and bruised after. I've tried other pumps that were such a pain to try to even get an ounce out, but the Medela is very comfortable, even on days when I power pump. Ease of Cleaning The Medela brand steam bags are easy to use when you sterilize, but the pump is easy to clean just for quick wipe downs. The flanges are a little difficult to get some of the milk residue from, but if you just run hot water through the flange, it will get the job done. Durability I have had my Medela pump for about 6 years now, and through over 2 years of combined pumping, it is still going strong with no loss of suction. Ease of Use Turn it on and go! There's no real issue. You can use a hands free bra so you don't have to hold the flanges straight up by yourself, but it's very simple to use if you don't have a bra option.

I love this Medela pump! It is a very well known brand, and very well made. It is long lasting and the bag helps pumping on the go. Its bag is really nice and stores everything neatly as well as the cooler that you can pump and store to keep them cool. I used to put my nursing cover in the bag too so I could pump on the go and be covered. Comfort Very well made, and easy to use. You have the option to pump 1 side, or both sides, and at your very own comfort level. The bag it comes in is really nice, it has compartments for the supplies to fit as well as extras you may want to use. Ease of Cleaning Super easy cleaning. The tubing comes off of the parts easily, and the parts are easy to take apart and put back together. Durability This pump has lasted for about 3 years, and is going strong. Versatility Like I said you can choose different settings, as well as to double pump or single pump. The kit that comes with it also includes a manual pump too. Ease of Use No directions needed, super easy to figure out and use. It came with a video and directions but they are not really needed. I love this pump.

If you're looking for a quality breast pump, look no further. This is the one and only pump I would recommend. Medela is known for their quality products, and this is no exception. When my first daughter was born 10 years ago, I had a cheap pump that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. This time around, I did my research and found that this was the best pump for the money. Yes it is expensive...but there are some things in life you can't skimp on and this is one of them. If you're anything like me, you'll spend a lot of time attached to a pump in the first couple months. Do yourself a favor and make your life a little easier. Life is hard enough with a newborn. Cleaning is a breeze and the machine itself couldn't be any easier to use. It is a little loud, but what do you expect. I would and have recommended this pump to all of my friends who are choosing to breast feed. Comfort No discomfort here . Ease of Cleaning Couldn't be easier to clean. A big selling point for me! Durability Has lasted over a year with not a single problem. Versatility The travel bag makes it easy to go anywhere! Ease of Use Simple and easy to use. Hardly any set-up. Works pretty much right out of the box.

I have pumped exclusively for 3 kids so far and this pump has not failed me. I recently purchased a new one with our 3rd child which I don't like quite as well. It's much louder and I just don't like it as well. However it is still a great pump and has stood the test of time pumping exclusively for 3 kids. Highly recommended!
