My overall take
The Medela Breast Pump is a must have for any working mom that is breastfeeding or any mom that wants to escape the shackles of breastfeeding. If you are using a hand pump, retire it. This is a million times better and worth every penny. You are time-starved, right?
What I like
It is easy to use and comes with everything that you need. It also all fits very nicely in the very dicreet backpack! Nobody other than other breastfeeding mothers know what is really going on in there!
You can pump and save. I recommend that you use the freezer bags. It also affords your husband and others the opportunity to enjoy feeding the baby!
I used it for two pregnancies (for 6 months each time) and I found it to be an invaluable investment.
What I dont like
It is actually quite noisy. So, if you are pumping at work or while on the phone, others can definitely hear an odd suctioning sound.
Tips
Plan for about 20 minutes to pump.
If pumping both breasts, don't plan to use your hands for reading or anything else
Dont leave the pump plugged in when not in use. It could fry.
