If you're looking for a bargain this is not the product for you. If you only need to pump every once and a while- you may not need all of the bells and whistles that this product has. However, if you are a working mom, a really busy person always on the go, then this system is for you. I have been both a stay at home mom and a working mother. I could not afford to have a medela pump with my first child. I had the avent hand pump. And while I persevered and pumped successfully for nine months, a quality electric pump would have made it easier. My friend bought me a different electric pump, but I found that the suction cup did not fit my breasts. It would only allow me to express a very minute amount of milk. It just didn't have the power or the quality I needed. My second child barely took a bottle until she was wiened so the hand pump was fine with her. However, I really needed it with my third child as I went back to work after six weeks with her. I was fortunate to have been given a new electric medela breast pump by one of my good friends. I could take less time to pump and could express milk from both of my breasts with the medela. pump. Thank God for the faster expressing. It gave me more time to sleep in the mornings. So, overall this is a great product for speed, durability and efficiency.
