As a guy who attended public schools in South Florida for most of his childhood and adolescence, I can honestly say that while I have quite a few fond memories of my high school years, I normally avoid films set in either a middle school (junior high in my day) or high school because either they (a) focus way too much on the "mating rituals" of teenagers or (b) remind me of certain situations or people I'd rather forget. (Other reasons I avoid this genre include the unrealstic ratio of "hotties" to "average looking students" and actors who look way older than 20 playing teens...)

review »Before Lindsay Lohan turned into whatever she turned into, she used to make some good movies with good lessons for teens. Mean Girls was one of them. I've seen this movie multiple times and I've always enjoyed it. It's the kind of movie that makes me hope Lindsay changes her life around and gets back into this movie business!
The Plot surrounds Cady, a young girl who was raised in Africa since her parents are zoologist. She is now moving to a new American school which is actually the first time she's ever gone to school since she was homeschooled her whole life. At school, she finds it...
review »Mean Girls stars Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams and Tina Fey. Lohan says at Cade - a young girl who was home schooled by her anthropologist parents in South Africa. They moved her into a public school to bring her a sense of "normalcy".
Enter "The Plastics" - three snobby, selfish, beautiful girls who invite Cade into their world. Except to be part of teenage royalty, there are rules - one ponytail a week, no sweatpants, watch what you eat, and more.
Lohan is great as she tranforms from the nice, sweet girl into a "plastic", eventually taking the crown as the queen of high school. McAdams is hilarious...
review »Bottom-Line: Go rent Mean Girls, pop some popcorn, grab a bag of M&M's, a can of Cherry Coke, settle in and prepared to be entertained.
I am not a die-hard Lindsay Lohan fan of that I can surely attest, but I am a red-blooded American male so she does not completely escape my notice, my discerning eye if you will. So I have watch with morbid fascination as Lindsay morphed from a beautiful, vibrant, shapely auburn haired young woman into a scrawny blonde haired teenaged boy with awful skin. At least she has admitted that she sort of has a problem with Bulimia and drugs, that's the first...
review »This movie is a hilarious way to remember highschool and the different cliques. Teenage drama and rumors and revenge got to love it! Lindsey Lohan stars in this chick flick, and doesn't do a horrible job. I'm not a fan of Lindsey in person but that girl can act. This movie doesn't have any parts in it that i don't feel comfortable watching with my 6 year old daughter. Except maybe the scene where the little sister is watching MTV's famous spring break and starts mimicking all of the flashers. Other than that the evil pranks being played on Regina George were funny throughout the whole movie. The...
review »Mean Girls is very enlightening and made me glad that I am not in highschool! Each character had their own unique delivery of lines style about them. Just like Clueless this movie is a must see or a prerequisite if you will for anyone who is, has been or will be a teenager.
Definitely a good conversation starter for those little hormone driven embryos who find it difficult to have serious moralistic convos with their parent/guardians.
I thought this movie was hilarious. I've watched it about 15 times. Highly recommend!
