Breakfast fast- food isn’t all the same and the McDonald’s McGriddle is proof of this fact. This breakfast food contains egg, ham or other pork product, cheese, and two small pancakes for the ends of the sandwich. Reviewers are divided on whether or not they enjoy this sandwich, with some making comments like “Tasty Breakfast Sandwich” and others saying “That’s One Bite I Will Never Have Again”. The taste combination seems good to some, but others don’t like it and they point out the addition of maple syrup combined with cheese as one of the key reasons not to like McDonald’s McGriddle. I was introduced to the McGriddle one day when I took some girls to McDonald's for breakfast before church.  They all ordered the McGriddles.  I don't eat breakfast so I ordered a sweet tea and was good to go.  I could smell something sweet as the girls ate and I realized the "sandwich" had syrup...

I realize that in the breakfast sandwich world, the choices are limited.  Usually some sort of egg, some sort of meat, some sort of bread substance....and the McGriddle follows all those basic sandwich rules, but to be really honest, they lost me completely when they decided that the sandwich was to...

If you are looking for great taste in the McDonalds McGriddle........Id have to say your not going to get it. You'll definetly get a bargain though! I took my son to have a Mcgriddle for breakfast he's 5. We normally would not eat McDonalds,I thought I was giving him a treat. My first bite.......was my last due to the syrup that is imbedded in the outside pancake bun. Together, including the sausage the taste  I had in my mouth was overwhelmingly sweet......too much for me. two hours after we ate I took my son to the emergency room. He said his heart hurt. I love trying new dishes at fast food places in search of something good, and I really like the Mcdonalds McGriddle for a tasty breakfast that is not too bad for you.  What I love from this item is that the sandwich is made with pancake like buns that have a sweet maple flavor already baked in.  This is a nice alternative to bread or a hard roll.  The sandwich has a great sweet flavor that is the base for egg, cheese and bacon if you like.  This is a great treat to get you going in the morning.  The pancake buns are a little thick so they don't crumble and hold the filling.  It isn't too... review »

When the mcgriddles at McDonalds first came out I thought I would try them.  I was curious.  I love McDonalds breakfast foods.  My first bite was my last.  It was AWFUL.  I just could not stand the sweet taste mixed with the sausage.  I am a person that has to eat all my foods separate.  The syrup in the griddle cake was just TOO sweet.  Separately the pieces would probably have been fine, but not together.  Recently my 11 yr old wanted to try one.  He did not like it at all either and he is an AVID McDonalds fan.  But a friend of my oldest son, the MCGriddle is all he likes at McDs. ... review »

The McDonalds McGriddle is a little strange.  The fact that it is very sweet like a syrup covered pancake on the outside and has egg on the inside just doesn't mix.  If you want those two tastes together, make breakfast yourself.

I think the McDonald's McGriddle is good.  It is fast and inexpensive so it makes for a great quick breakfast.  It has a little bit of everything on it which gives it a different taste from all the other breakfast sandwiches.  My son loves it and every time we are out and about early we go to McDonalds and he gets the McDonald's McGriddle.  It is not one of my favorite breakfast sandwiches from McDonald's, mine is the Sausage McMuffin with Egg, but when I am in the mood for a little something different I get the McGriddle becuase of the different things on it.  It tastes a little like a breakfast...

I had a McDonald's McGriddle one time and thought it was the worse breakfast meal ever.  I almost threw it away.  The syrup in the bun/pancake or whatever you want to call it, made the breakfast sandwich taste sickening sweet.  There was nothing I liked about it and I also think it is very unhealthy for anyone to eat - especially on a regular basis.

I would never let  my grandchildren  eat the McDonald's McGriddle for breakfast for health reasons.  The sugar content would get them all wired up.  Yes - I know they would like it because it is so sweet but that's not a reason to let them have...

I LOVE LOVE LOVE McDonalds McGriddles!! It is a breakfast sandwhich that is part sausage( or bacon), egg, and cheese biscuit, part waffle, part pancake....all together. It is like having a full course breakfast meal compacted into a handheld breakfast sandwhich. Since they make the maple syrup somehow stay inside the bread, it gives you the convience of eating waffles and sausage without all the syrupy mess. Which let me tell you, if you have kids this is a blessing! :) They come in three varieties: Bacon, Egg and Cheese McGriddle, Sausage, Egg and Cheese McGriddle, and Sausage McGriddle.

when i went to mcdonalds i decided to buy a mcgriddle and realized its cheaper to buy 2 anyways there small and i parable needed two so i got about halfway done with My first one and i was already stuffed i wonderd why and looking at it its small but think taste best with strawberry jam (ask for it when ordering) and is a good breakfast has two huge think pancakes with syrup inside and a good sized sausage one of my favorite foods id give it 5 stars TRY IT!

I only get this at McDonalds. I dont care for much else. It is just the right amount of sweet and spicy, and just the right size to. I already put cheese on my pancakes so it was perfect for me. It si soo easy to just go through the drive thru and get this on the run. It holds well while riding in the car also. That is soo important for those stops before work or school. If you enjoy eating pancakes and sausage this is the breakfast sandwich for you.

Theese are just simply great!!! If you're hungry and have a little extra cash you should definately get a McGriddle!!! I get them all the time with my friends and I will get many more in the future. The bun is really cool too with that McDonalds emblem!!! How do they do that??? Get the mcgriddle you won't be dissapointed Promise!!!

The McGriddle is a delicious way to start the day!  It is small enough to not make you feel too full but big enough to satisfy your hunger.  It is a soft pancake that surrounds the sausage which gives it a sweet flavor.  It is not messy and does not crumble in your hand.  The sausage is very tastey.

I don't have alot of time to eat breakfast so when I can I do but when I heard of Mcgriddle I thought great I love sausage and Pancakes now they've had a baby. I was wrong I find them too sweet but when I can handle the sugur rush in the morning I find myself with a syrup stain on my outfit
