McCormick & Schmick's - Dayton, OH Review

I have found it difficult to find restaurants that offer real seafood.  It seems everybody serves the requisite salmon, tilapia, and mahi mahi, but rarely can I find restaurants that venture beyond that.

Enter McCormick & Schmick's.

They have a very exentsive wine list, about 10 different types of fish (cod, halibut, walleye, catfish, salmon, mahi mahi, tuna, tilapia, sea bass) served different ways, and a variety of other seafood (such as calamari, shrimp, lobster).  The house salad is to die for....leafy greens and arugula with walnuts, cheese, and balsamic vinaigrette.  YUM!

The desserts looked wonderful, although I didn't have any of those.

The service was prompt and very courteous.  Our waitress had exentsive knowledge of the fish and wine selections.  The restaurant was very slow that night, but I am sure it's a waiting list on the weekends.
