I drove Ford Escort ZX2 prior to the Mazda Protege. This was at the beginning of the Wall Street collapse.... After fuelling for $25.00 I was constatly looking at my fuel gauge light and almost begging it not to come up. With Protege, $25 gave me almost two and a half times the distance I paid for on the Ford!

I loved everything about my Cavalier and I miss "Blackie" very much--she would have been 8 in January. The Cavalier got great gas mileage! It was a nice riding car, low maintenance and fully loaded. Unfortunately Chevy is doing away with the Cavalier and has introduced the Cobalt. Some dealerships are going to carry the Cavalier for 2008/09 but the larger dealerships have already let the Cavalier go to make promote the Cobalt. I've only had the Cobalt LS for one month now and I'm still getting used to it. It's a lot like the Cavalier (ride and price wise) but doesn't have near as many special features.

I drove Ford Escourt ZX2 right after my accident, moneymonger! I liked Saturn as well..it landed on wheels at my accident...hehehe. Mazda's been good. Is Chevy Cav good on gas?

I just traded in a 2001 Chevy Cavalier for a 2007 Chevy Cobalt. Your Protege resemble my Cavalier. Glad you sound happy with the car! ~Gigi
