This is my third Neptune, and replaced the second one, a Maytag-branded Samsung machine that caught fire. It does OK, but now that Whirlpool owns Maytag, they need to do some work on the computer logic that controls the machine. Many times, it just won't spin because it can't get the load balanced. It just gives up and leaves the clothes sopping wet. The logic in my original US-built Maytag Neptune was flawless, and would just keep trying until it got the clothes spun out. I wish I had not left that machine behind when I moved.
It also takes MUCH longer to do a load and the clothes don't come out as clean as they did from the original Neptune. The machine is also MUCH rougher on the clothes. I find tons more lint in the dryer lint trap than with the original Neptune.
The big kicker, though, is that Whirlpool hasn't figured out that some people need to reverse the door on the washing machine. They now control a huge proportion of the market with Whirlpool/Kenmore and now Maytag, and they're just ignoring this.
