Since installation 4 service calls have been made on my Maytag Epic z washer. I love the cleaning. But the vibration (it is on the high pedestals) is horrible. The next step (after tightening the leg nuts up against the washer) and putting pads under the front feet to keep it from walking is to replace the shocks. Has anyone else had this happen? I'm worried I chose the wrong washer even though Consumer Reports rated it "low vibration". The shocks are supposed to be here on Monday. Hope this is the ticket to get it to stop shaking the whole house. Customer service has been timely and very courteous but that is not helping the problem.
today is April 6 09 and the A&E repair tech installed new shocks and tightened legs AGAIN and of course with the load almost dry the vibration wasn't too bad. He left and I added soap and washed the load. Well, the washer is now setting right up against the dryer in the front (it was 2 inches aways from the dryer) and the back is about 4 inches away from the dryer. So much for that fix. Maytag cannot help me until A&E reports and A&E cannot help me until the tech reports. What a fiasco! Sorry I bought this piece of junk!!!!
