I hate this Maytag washer

Maytag Washer - Atlantis Washing Machine —

The Maytag Atlantis does all the basics well...almost> It has no lint finlter at all. My clothes are full of lint. I can't hang clothes out to dry to save energy because, unless I send them through the dryer for at least a little while, they are usually lint infested. Besdies making me run my clothes through the dryer and waste that energy, all that lint going into the sewer system has to be dealt with. Not a very "green" machine.

The next thing I hate about this washer is the little slots under the fins on the agitator! It catches sleeves with buttons, any draw string or tie, thin pants legs like wind pants, etc, and then proceeds to wrap the clothes up. At least once a week I must unwrap clothes that have become caught and wrapped through the rest of the clothes in the washer.

They should have someone who actually washes clothes try out their "great ideas" before putting them in washers and dryers!!

Daffyjill, You said it I have the same problem, and in addition to that the transmission went out on mine, it not even 4 yrs old. I know that they are aware that this is a problem, I looked on utube and some one posted a video of the Atlantis, making the same noise as mine, What a joke. My mother has had the same set for over 20yr, and has repaced a belt. I really am pissed to find out that after an $80 service call, I need a $250 dollar part, oh anf I have labor to pay on top of that....Shame Shame Matage!! But I guess I should say Shame on fridigare, Admiral, and Whirlpool because guess what they are all the same company. What a JOKE! Karyn in Gresham, Or
