One month to the day when warrenty expired dryer stopped heating. Drum turns but no heat. Single person usage bought for compact size, which I liked. Repairs will be more than 25% of original cost. Very disappoint in quality of unit.

I have one of these in my condo at the beach. We have a little closet to put a washer and dryer in and this is absolutely perfect for it because they stack so it takes up half the space as a washer/dryer side by side. This also washes great and dries great. It is a really great machine, and it is just even better because it stacks and takes up so little space. The only problem with this is it is expensive, but when you want quality you have to pay for it, and this is definitely a quality appliance. Anyone who has a closet or home with limited space should get one of these quality stacked washer/dryer combos and I promise you would love it. I recommend this to anyone, especially if you have limited space for a washer/dryer.

I am pretty new to being a homeowner. My first house I deceided to buy the cheapest appliances possible. I skimped in places I probably should not have. The washer and dryer were one of those places. I can not even remember the name brand of what washer and dryer I had first, it was just the cheapest possible. It began having problems after 1 year. Customer service was horrible. Oh well I sold that house and got a new one. This house was pretty small. The laundry room was pretty cramped. I decieded to go with the Maytag top load stacked washer and dryer combo. This wasnt the chepes option but after my last experience I thought it was ok. Even though ti does not take up tht much room the washer and dryer actually fit quite a bit of closthes in them. Ihad no problems for the first year. I did have a minor problem with the dryer. It shut off when it should not have. I called the customer service department and they sent someone to fix it at no charge. very happy

after a careful observation and evaluation of the Maytag Top Loader Stacked Washer/Dryer, I fianlly realized that great things do come in small packages. Placing the Maytag Top  Loader into a space that was less useful than for any thing else; this product semmed to kill two birds with one stone. The Maytag Top Loader occupied a space that was normally a good for nothing space. Once every thing as set and placed in order, we discovered yet another advantage. Because of the structure of the Maytag Top Loader Washer and Dryer, we were able to transpose extra useless space into both shelving and storage space which all seemed to conform to the Maytag Top Loader's custom design. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I can say that the sight of this transformes laundry room has raised more than a few eyebrows. Of course, we gave credit to where credit was due. Thanks Maytag, you're a great partner.

We had planned to get a new washer/dryer...but when it came to moving in to the new construction we found that we liked the added space that a "stacked" washer/dryer gave us and the dependablity of Maytag. We have had no service calls on either Maytags in 10 years. A great Brand!***

We bought this machine to replace our washer and dryer that were dated and on their last leg.  This is a great machine but it is not designed for large families.  We are a family of five (two adults and three kids).  There simply is not enough room to wash all the laundry that our family generates.  It saved on our water bill and it freed up a lot of space in my laundry room, but after about six months we had to get rid of this set and upgrade to a full size washer and dryer again.  This washer and dryer set would be fine for a single person or even a married couple, without children.  While we owned this set, we did find that it lowered our water bill and seemed to save on our electric bill as well.  One thing about this set that we did not like was that when the washer would start draining - it caused our kitchen sink to have water come up into it.  None of our other washers (the one before this one or the one we have now) have ever caused this.  Not a problem - just an irritation. It's a great set by a great company but it just wasn't big enough for a family of five.

The Maytag MET3800TW stacked washer and dryer has made doing laundry a piece of cake for me! It has everything you could ever want in a washer and dryer combo. There is a button to push for when you are specifically washing whites, one for a quickload if you are in a hurry, and even an option for when you are trying to pack in a rather hefty load. It's also very quiet during the washing process and even alerts you when it is done with three little "ding"s. The dryer is even more amazing, with the possibility of drying your jeans and t-shirts in the bottom dryer while hanging up work clothes, easily wrinkled items, etc. It is especially great for hanging up bras, since you don't have to worry about them getting stretched out or worn while rolling around with your other apparel. The top dryer even has a steaming option for really tough wrinkles. And speaking of wrinkles, the bottom dryer has one too! So over all, the Maytag has many desireable features that make it a hard piece of merchandise to pass up!

When I moved into my home, I inherited the Maytag top load stacked washer/dryer. I was really excited because maytag is such a wonderful brand. It is very space conscious and really helped lower the amount of space a typical washer and dryer take up. The downside to this aspect, though, is that it does not hold as many clothes/towels as a separated unit typically does. While it washes the clothing great, I have to run two loads to meet my former 1 load in my separated units. As of yet, I have had no problems with this unit which is great because with previous front loading washers I have experienced that they can be opened during the wash cycle and water can go everywhere. So far this has not been the case with this product. As I am short, it can be challenging reaching up to the top tier to retrieve clothing to put into the first tier. Overall, I have been extremely pleased with this product and would certainly recommend it to another consumer.

Instead of being a small size, this Maytag MET3800TW Top Load Stacked Washer / Dryer is actually a full size washer and dryer.  It is great if you don't have alot of room but have alot of laundry.  And of course Maytag washer and dryers are very reliable.  It does a great job of cleaning anything from delicates to towels.

When we moved into a rental unit that didn't have enough room for a side by side my mom and I went shopping and purchased this unit. When it was delivered it fit in the space nicely. I am used to having a side by side unit and being able to wash super large loads of clothes and them coming out clean and not having to rewash anything. With this unit I had to wash smaller loads or the clothes wouldn't come out clean.  Once I started making smaller loads everything was great and the clothes came out clean. It seems to be a great unti and works great. My family has always used maytag appliances so fo rme to go with a different brand was unheard of.  I am not crazy about the price but it serves its purpose. It is a dependable and reliable working machine that gets the job done. Up to the present time I have not had any problems with it and would definitely recoomend it. Like I stated previously the only downside is the size of the loads. Works great!
