This fridge is reliable and is perfect for everyday use in the home. My family has been using this fridge for some time and really can not complain about it. Interior Organization There are plenty of shelves in both the fridge and freezer parts and they are designed well. You can move the shelving units up and down which really provide endless ways to organize the refrigerator. Temperature Control Sometimes it will randomly get too cold and the products in the refridgerator will start to freeze. this has happened on a few occasions in our home. Durability My family has been using this fridge for some time and have not really had any problems at all. The only thing that we ever had to replace was the water filter and that is a simple low cost fix for the fridge. Design This fridge has a nice simple design that works for our residential home. It is also not a huge fridge that takes up tons of room which is very nice and convenient.

Never again will we purchase a Maytag refrigerator. It's a good design, but it just doens't last or work. This appliance has given us nothing except trouble since we bought it - and it wasn't cheap! First, let me describe some of the things I like about this refrigerator. The adjustable shelves are fantastic. Makes it easy to fit different sized foods and containers in it. The appliance is very easy to clean for the most part and the shelves do not allow liquids to spill to lower shelves. The door has plenty of storage room. The light is nice and bright. The drawers are roomy and easy to remove for cleaning. Now, let's talk about the bad stuff. The temperature control in the fridge part just does not work properly. I've frozen everything from lettuce to potatoes. Basically, almost anything that is placed next to the freezer side is going to be frozen. Raising the temperature doesn't work either. When you do that, the milk is not pleasant to drink. The freezer is nice in that the shelves pull out. However, It's very hard to find your stuff in this freezer because of the shelf heights that are available. It's also very hard to remove the shelves for cleaning. As for the ice machine, pitiful! Ours broke soon after we got it. Finally got repair man here - Maytag guy - and he made it even worse. We finally just quit using it and blocked the door opening so that we stopped losing cold air. Needless to say, we do not use the ice maker at all. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Freezer door on my side by side is rusting and pealing off. For this I have to give a low rating. Maytag needs to correct this. Durability My side by side has a freezer door that is rusting. The door now needs replacing. This is not acceptable. I could not recommend this to anyone.

Overall, this is a good fridge, but both sides of it are narrow (particularly the freezer) and it becomes cluttered easily between two or three people. The freezer door is the worst part. It has somewhat deep but small shelves that can't hold very much. You can move them around fairly easily, though, to accommodate taller things, and the same goes for the fridge side. The shelves in the freezer are also pretty small. If you freeze a lot of food or buy a lot of frozen items, you'd probably run into problems with it. Frozen pizzas and larger cartons of ice cream are particularly tricky and everything else tends to just get piled one on top of the other. There's also a large drawer at the bottom, but we tend to forget about food if it's put in there because it disappears under all the other clutter. You can control the temperature for both sides of the fridge, which is helpful. The temperatures seem to remain consistent, which is good. We have had a few problems with the ice maker making loud ticking noises, though. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, it will go on for hours. So it's a pretty nice fridge, but would definitely be difficult for a large family or someone who wants to avoid clutter. Noise Level Even though it's not often, when the ice machine does make noise, it is LOUD. Interior Organization Too narrow. Temperature Control Works fine. Ease of Cleaning Very easy to clean. Durability It's holding up well so far. Design Tends to promote clutter.

This is a long lasting refridgerator. I have had mine for quite awhile. Not too many issues. This a farely quiet refridgerator. The texturing and coating make for easy clean up, especially with kids or grand kids in the house. I would recomend this refridgerator to anyone looking to purchase a new one. I think people need to be aware that the newer refridgerators do not last as long as the older refridgerators did in the past. But, I think it is important to buy a good quality refridgerator if you want it to last and be very low matinance. No one wants expensive repair bills and I would recomend buying an extended warranty. It is well worth the cost . Since, in one visit it may have payed for it self.

I bought this refrgerator thinking it would have been much bigger on the inside since it is a side by side. It really isnt. Very narrow with not enough shelf space in the freezer. The ice maker is great. The refrigerator side has two crispers and two shelves. Again not enough space for your leftovers or food. The door does have plenty of space for condiments and bottles. Spills clean up in a snap and unit runs quietly. The price was awesome cannot be beat for this type of refrigerator. The maytag fridge is great. I love all the storage ,especially in the doors. The adjustability of the shelfs is also great. It is quick and simple to do.It is easy to clean inside and out. Love the ice maker and the water dipencer. Having the light has been great for the kids especially if they wake in the middle of night and need a drink. THey can do it themselves with out waking mommy or daddy. Noise Level The fridge is very quite. the only noise we ever hear is the ice maker. Even that is so quite you barely notice it. Interior Organization Having the adjustable shelves is great . You can change it up or leave it. I always change mine around the holidays to make for extra room for all the treats and leftovers. Ease of Cleaning I love how easily everything wipes off. The draws are easily removed so they can be washed out.

Everything was so cold that many things froze ... Eventually we replaced it and used the Maytag for a "drink" and spare refrigerator. Service people tried several times to correct the problem ... I think this is a weak spot for Maytag as I had an older one - freezer on the top and the same thing happened. GREAT for rec room, but too hard on lettuce.
