How quiet is quiet with a Maytag?

This dishwasher is ok, I guess. We were looking for the quietest dishwasher on the market that we could afford, and this is it. As I am doing this review, I can hear my dishwasher running. But how quiet should one expect a dishwasher to be? This Maytag Quiet Series 300 was advertised to be the quietest, but it has not proven to be so. The door opens to the floor almost, breaks your back to load it and unload it, and it will not wash peanut butter off of anything unless I run the thing on normal cycle. It seems to go on and on and on before it stops too. I have really hot water, and I wash on sanitize cycle. I don't think there is an ideal dishwasher out there, is there?
