I don't think I could say anything bad about this machine. It works well, able to use less detergent and cold water for most things, larger load capacity than my old traditional machine. A great bonus is that we consume less detergent, energy and water when using it so it is better for the environment and my pocket book as well. I can't think of anything that I don't like about the Maytag Neptune (I have both the washer and dryer.) We have had this set since our house was completed in 2001. The only problem we have ever had with it was an issue with the dryer not heating properly, but it was under warranty and fixed easily in a couple of hours by a technician. We have never had a problem since with either the washer or the dryer. — Both the washer and dryer run quietly. The only time I hear the washer is during a spin cycle with a full load. Maytag is usually good for quality products, as I have had no problems in the past with a top loading machine lasting 12 years + in fact that machine is still going strong after 19 years. — This machine was purchased without an extended service plan, big mistake! I wish I would of known at the time that this machine has had extensive problems with the main control board and the wax motor for the door locking system. I love this washer, it has a large load capacity and washes the clothes better than any top loader I ever had.  I really like the fact that it has an extra extraction on it so that once the clothes spin, they are almost dry.  This saves energy in my dryer.  In my old top loader, clothes were being shredded.  This is no longer the case.  I believe it also helps the wrinkle factor in that the clothes do not spend that much time in the dryer. I did have the pump wear out on it after about 3 years.  However using a repair site on line,  I was able to… read full review »

I was looking for a Maytag because of their reputation.  I shopped around and got a great price at Brandsmart.  I love it!!!  It was easy to install and came with all the hardware, most washers do not include the hoses nowadays.  I am a mom of 2 boys who enjoy sports, so I do a lot of laundry.  This machine does the trick!  From my delicate items to football jerseys and jeans, the machine handled all beautifully.  I tried to see how much I could really load into this machine without it going out of balance and am happy to report, you can put all the jeans… read full review »

We had the machine 2 years then it broke down. Can only use "Authorized" dealer- cost $400 to repair- the panel replaced broke again in less than a year- still had warrenty but cost $200 for them to replace- not covered by warranty. The gaskets molded. The door popped open and watered by basement. this is a very reliable brand that has been around for years.  This machine only take ten gallons of water for the complete cycle and spins out at one thousand RPM's a minute!  The cloths come out very dry and as a result takes shorter drying time.  I also find my cloths get cleaner with this model and takes very little detergent per load.  — I would recommend it to anyone that I know.  Good value for the money. —… read full review »

This washer is so easy to use and handles very large loads well. The clothes are spotless and being that it doesn't have an agitator, the clothes are less wrinkled and it doesn't damage delicate items. It has several settings, from hand wash to extra large loads. I have owned several washers and this is by far the best. I have now owned it for 10 years and have not experienced one mechanical or electrical problem.
