i have had this washer for about 5 years. it has held up great. washes great and rinses great. the only bad side is that you should really keep the door open to air it out. the rubber seal does accumulate mold. like black spots on the rubber seal. it does not have an odor but should really keep the door open if possible. also i wish the soap dispenser is able to be kept a little cleaner. the fabric softener does tend to build up but other than that, i really do give this washer a great rating. one thing i would not recommend is that you put in alot of jeans. seems like it does have a hard time getting them clean. it is very easy on washing your clothes. and i dont go though alot of water. the energy saver star is there. Energy Efficiency does use less water than most washers. Cleaning Time you just to have to make sure you do not put alot of clothes in the washer. thats when it does go around that the clothes do tumble Performance had my washer for a long time know. does a great job in washing and performance is great Ease of Use very easy to use. push a button and it goes. just to make sure you use the right kind of soap. h e brand. you dont want to clog up the machine with regular soap Design very nice. you can switch the doors on the machine to open the way you need to. just really dont like not seeing inside the machine. Durability very durable i find. not noisy like some other machine

This is the worst washing machine I  ever had. The pump went out right after it was no longer covered. Acouple weeks after I spent a lot of money to get it fixed it stopped ringing out and it would lock shut. It has cost me more in repairs than the machine cost to begin with. I will never buy any product associated with Maytag again. Useless in just over a year.

We have had the Maytag Neptune washer and dryer set for about 5 years now.  It is funny because one of my inlaws has the exact same set and has had major problems with mildew.  We however, have had no problems at all.  We average about one load of laundry per day in this washer.  I have to say that we also use Oxiclean in each load and maybe that has helped.  I think this washer does a good job of getting the clothes clean and is supposed to be water and energy efficient.  Although, this is the only washer set we have had in this house so I can't really compare utility bills to see if there is a difference.  The clothes come out clean - I used someone elses brand new top of the line top loader with no spindle, and it was like the clothes had only been soaked in water and not even washed.  I like our washer.  I like that you use a smaller amount of soap.  I wish that Iwas able to select the load size, or that it could sense the load size.  It washes in a relatively short amount of time and you can select different options that make wash time shorter or longer.  All in all, good buy, I am pleased.

Since my husband gave me the gift of a Maytag Neptune Front Load Washer (MAH7500WH), the Maytag Repairman has never had to come to my home with his tool kit.  It is a very quiet machine and is easy to use.  It has enough settings to do a good job on my delicates and my hard to clean heavy items.   There is one problem with this machine and that is the seal gets moldy.   I clean the seal and leave the door open to dry it out, the problem returns.  All in all though, this is a very good washing machine.

This is the washer you want. I bought the Neptune as a replacement to an old Whirlpool that finally became too expensive to repair. This is the nicest washing machine I have ever owned. First, you definitely need a front loader like this. The front loaders use less electricity than the top loaders. The front loaders use gravity to push the soapy water through the clothes, not an agitator. That means that a front loader won't fray the edges of your towels and snag bra hooks on the agitator spindle. Second, you can use the high efficiency soap (labeled with a "He" symbol on the box or bottle). You can use less of the He detergent than the regular because it cleans better and rinses out of clothes better. The details of using the washer are straight forward. Put the soap and softener in the dispenser. Simple. Use the electronic keypad to select water temp and features like extra rinse or longer spin. Then, hit the start button. The door locks itself and off you go! It's easy, it's quiet, it's pretty, and so far it has remained leveled on the floor. Oh, and I can fit a queen size comforter in it, but not a king size. I will still have to do that at the laundromat.

My new Neptune front load washer   I almost cried whan my old washing machine broke. No one wants to have to buy new appliences in a rush. It is better , however, than going to the laundry mat. I was lucky enough to be in the position to take care of my problem immediatly. I knew I wanted a front loader, and decided to buy the set. I went to my local Maytag dealer, the place I always go to look for my appliances. Once I got there the sales man showed a few sets in my price range and it was the Neptune that seemed the best machine to meet my needs.They were delivered the next day, easy to install and ready to go. My machine works great!!! It is energy star and uses less water and power. It offers many differrent settings allowing for different combinations depending the cleaning needs for every load. I can set it to soak ,stain removal, extra rinse and max extract variable lload types from sturdy to hand wash. It also allows for different cycle lengths with choices from rinse to extra heavy soil. Another feature I like is it will remember your settings for different cycles. I generally use permanant press cycle for my clothing. The machine will keep the same settingsf or that cycle after I have used the sturdy cotten cycle with hot water and long wash, then next time I use it it will revert to the past settings which saves you remembering to change the teperature going from one type of load to another. I am very happy with my machine and am looking toward many more years of use from it. I have had it for 6 years and no problems what so ever.

I have been using the Maytag Neptune line of products for almost four years. I have two children ages 10 and 17 and two dogs that always have something to wash. On average I do between three and five loads of laundry in a days time. My daughter plays sports all year round and is also very busy academically. I love all the different settings on my Maytag washer. I can wash knee pads,ankle brace and jerseys on heavy duty, then wash her dresses and good clothes on the delicate cycle. Tennis shoes and rugs are always needing a good cleaning, so hand wash cycle works the best for these items. My tennis shoes always come out looking brand new, this saves me alot of money since I don't have to go and buy new ones. My husband works construction and comes home nasty and dirty everyday. His clothes are usually covered in oil, concrete and sweat. They always come out clean, I even wash his boots. Thanks Maytag. I don't know what I would do without your products.

We purchsed the Neptune Washer and Dryer from Great Indoors and initially were very pleased - about 7 months after purchase on occassion the door lock would not release.  After about 3 or so more months the dryer would not start on occassion.  We should have called service but didn't at the time.  About 1 year later we had to call for service on our Maytag stove - while the tech was there we asked about the washer and dryer.  He said that it wouldn't even be worth repairing as the units were defective and they had been having nothing but problems with them. I called a few times to talk to Maytag regarding the problems and repair and was told the same thing. We have since trashed them and purchased new Samsung units.  We still have several Maytag products - but once they need to be replaced - Maytag wont' be my choice.

I have been very impressed with this washing machine.  The high energy has saved me money on my utility bills and laundry detergent.  I have three active kids and I go through one to two, sometimes three full loads a day.  It can also handle my king size comforter.  This machine has been very dependable.  I definitely recommend this washing machine.

This  wash machine is well below expectations.  The clothes did not come clean.  They came out soaking wet.  I would put in 5 pair of jeans it it would go off balance. There is a belt that turns the tub that always broke in half.  When this happened I always ended up with water all over the laundry room floor.  The setting are easy to use.  It did seem to take a lot longer to wash the clothes versus a top loader. I do not see how this machine could be energy efficient when it takes longer to wash the clothes and ususally once a week there is water all over the floor. The wash machine looks nice as far as appearence but it is just not worth the hassle.  I would not recommend this wash machine to anyone. It is a waste of money,not to mention a waste of water,laundry detergent and energy.  I have contacted maytag about this machine and sears and they have told me it is out of warranty and we are basically stuck.
