Maytag Maytag 1.6 Over Range Microwave Oven MMV5165BAS Review

The Maytag 1.6 Over Range Microwave Oven MMV5165BAS was a great buy from ebay retailer.  Searched the internet and this particular model,  Stainless Steel and black sells for $299.00 to $399.00 but I was able to pick one up for $199.99 with Free S/H.  It comes with a one year parts and labor warranty from the manufacturer and I purchased an additional two years from Square Trade for $30.  If you sign up for BING you can also get 8% rebate rewarded to PayPal acct.  Follow all the directions on ebay or Bing.com.

The oven is quite attractive and fit perfectly in the spot where a preexisting GE unit had been installed.

The instructions that came with the unit were quite well written and came with templates to install, brackets and hardware.  We didn't need to use the enclosed brackets as it fit perfectly on the brackets from the GE unit.

The specifications say it is 1.6 cu ft capacity.  Rather than a turn-table for even heat distribution, there is a glass platform that slides back and forth.  A novel concept, that appears to work well.

There are one button settings for Reheat, Popcorn, Pizza Slice and others.

Easy to operate and does a great job.
