Maytag ICE20 is a new design in refrigerator/freezers with side by side and bottom storage. Stainless steel makes this a popular look in many kitchens and most reviewers purchased it for the variety of features including filtered water, ice maker, versatile storage and space. One feature appreciated by reviewers is the double french doors, “The double french doors on top give you lots of options for putting things together that you use together so that you only have to open one door at a time,” DebbyR says. Or if your house is like mine, that fridge door sometimes just doesn’t get shut and the Maytag Ice20 tells you so, “This fridge will even beep if you don't close the doors right-so it saves you money when the electric bill comes around,” says Fchavez. This is a great concept with 2 doors on top and a pull out drawer on the bottom! Lots of storage room.
In reality you have to open both doors to access some of the storage drawers which is inconvenient. The in-door storage for gallons of milk is very handy. The outside information panel is great and the door alarm is a good feature.
The biggest complaint is that the ice maker is very noisy and doesn't store much ice. It jams frequently compared to my previous icemaker. This is an area that needs a lot of improvement.
