This washer is a great washer in that you can wash large loads of clothes in it. Have never had it serviced and have had it for over 10 years. Performs very well. I like the simple settings that it has. Not a difficult machine to operate. One drawback is that something was put in the tub and it chipped the tub in one spot. Great machine for soft water. Doesn't use a whole lot of detergent or fabric softener. Energy Efficiency This washing machine seems to wash clothes fairly quickly, thus not using a whole lot of electricity. Cleaning Time Seems to wash clothes fairly quickOh and very good. Performance Performance on this washing machine is great. Washes clothes thoroughly. Ease of Use This washing machine is very easy to use. It doesn't have a lot of buttons in order to use it and is very simple to operate. Design I like the design of this washing machine because it has the operating button right in the front at the top. The overall design is a very simple one and not that large of a machine. Fits well in smaller spots. Not bulky. Durability This machine is very sturdy. When I have a load that gets off, the machine does not move all over the floor. It seems to be a very heavy machine.

The Maytag HAV2460AW Top Load Washer will clean your clothes. However, it is similar to a lot of other washing machines. There are no fancy things about it. I like loading my clothes from the top because it is so much easier. I usually wash small, medium and large loads. The settings are numerous and they are simple to select. The spin/rinse cycle works fine. I use the delicate cycle the most. I have a lot of fancy designer clothing that needs special care. This machine does a pretty good job of circulating the detergent. I rarely see clumps of detergent on my clothes, when I remove them. My clothes look pretty good when finished. I like the capacity and sizes I can wash. Sometimes the machine gets stuck while washing. It usually happens when I wash blankets or comforters, even if I am only washing one at a time. When that happens, it makes a really loud and annoying sound, until I fix it. I consider that a drawback. This washing machine does save money. It is not an energy hog. I wish it came in a smaller size. It takes up too much space in the washroom. It is over-priced for the way it works, and the design and color is typical. If I were awarding stars, it gets a "3" out of 5.

Washers are one of those things that seem to work really well or not at all. The two washers I had before this one both broke within five years, due to our heavy usage. This one I have had it for some time and I am very pleased with its performance. No problems with anything in it at all. Energy Efficiency Although it has several water tempuratures, I only ever use cold, so that is about as efficient as a washer gets Cleaning Time This is about what you'd expect. Since I always wash a full load, I put it on for the maximum time. Performance I wash all my clothes in cold water and it does very well. Seldom does it become unbalanced and it is great with large loads. I can put twin sized comforters and area rugs in. Its not quite big enough for my queen sized comfortors...they go to the laudromatte and the industrial sized machines. Ease of Use Easy enough for my kids to figure out. They can't even pretend they don't understand. Design Good, intuitive. Durability I do at least one load/day, usually 2. Haven't had any trouble with it.

This clothes washer has been giving us good production so far. We seem to be hard on clothes washers and dryers, because they usually only last for a few years before they break and need repairs or just break and need to be replaced. This Maytag has been working well since we got it. It has a lot of features and dials that allow for customized wash settings. We don't use them much, but they are there if needed. I was not very happy with the actual capacity of the tub. It claims to be an over sized washer receptacle, but it really is not. I can do about the amount of clothes that fit in a standard laundry basket, but nothing that would mound over the top of the basket. This washer has an exclusive receptacle for bleach and another one for fabric softener too. It is easy to keep clean, simply by wiping down periodically. It does not have a lot of nooks and cranny's that collect dirt which makes it easier to keep clean. So far, I would recommend this washer, with only the size of the tub, being it's main negative characteristic.

We are a family of 5 which includes 3 children under the age of 17. This machine does lots of cloths and had done a wonderful job. We have had this machine for over 7 years and have had no problems what so ever. We do at least 2 loads everyday and have done as much as 5 in one day. Great machine very durable.

We purchased this washing machine a while ago, and it's seems to work very well. So far we haven't had any issues with it at all except that over time the inside lip of the washer tends to accumulate dust and dirt somehow. If we don't remember to wipe it clean occasionally then when we pull the wet clothes out, sometimes it rubs against the dirt and gets dirty again.
