— The Bottom Line:  If you want to save money on the price of a dryer & then save on energy costs & time doing laundry, this is for you! — — We just returned home from a 2 week Scandinavia/Russian cruise with 2 weeks of laundry to do. With my body clock way off, I was up in 4 hours so I did the large load of whites in my front load washer. Then put the darks in as final load & whites were in my Kenmore dryer that was 7 years old & out of warranty. 10 minutes later smoke detectors go off & the dryer is on fire. The Maytag Electric dryer holds a BIG LOAD!  I have had this dryer for about 3 years and never had any maintenance issues.  It dries clothes well, and has plenty of features.  You can choose a "timed dry" and select how many minutes to run a load, or you can choose "sensor dry" and allow the dryer to sense when clothes are no longer moist.  There are also the typical features of cool air, fluff, etc. — The one very annoying thing about this dryer is that it has a beeper that goes off when the clothes are dry.  My beeper has been on the fritz for about a… read full review »
