Maytag Dishwasher - Quiet Series 200  — 

Prior to purchasing this dishwasher, when I heard the name "Maytag" I automatically thought quality, durability, worth the money.  After shelling out top dollar for one I found myself very disappointed.  This dishwasher is less than 2 years old and the door doesn't close correctly, it is growing mold inside, not to mention it probably takes about 2 hours to wash and rinse 1 load of dishes.  Probably wasting water that we can't afford to lose in this drought that we are in.  Don't buy one of these!

The control panels are worthless. Ours is less than 3 years old, lightly used, and it went bad.

I am in total agreement wtih this review. We purchased the Maytag Quiet Series 200 about 3 years ago and thank goodness we got the extended warranty as well. Since that time we have replaced many of the parts including the control panel at least four times and the handle twice. The mechanic seemed to think the problems were caused by moisture getting to the control panel and tried applying silicone rubber at the connection point of the polyflex circuit tape running from the outside control buttons to the control panel. These failed to solve the problem. The local appliance store was to a point they were blaming us for the multiple calls. Even though the problem has never been solved they refuse to cover the expired warranty. I will not look to another maytag product again.
