I have always loved the look of the side by side refrigerators. I like the water and ice dispenser, which is also easy for my daughter to use. The shelves are easy to clean. It doesn't get too cold and freeze the food. Temperature is very easy to set. I am also a big fan of the "lock out" option so I can turn off the water and ice. The doors swing open wide enough to get things in and out. But the downside to all side by side refrigerators and freezers is that you can't always fit the bigger things such as frozen pizzas. I have a stand up freezer for those lol. I have had this refrigerator for a little over a year and am getting ready to buy my second water filter for it. I like that its very low maintenance.

We have had this appliance for 2 years. The freezer broke once and I lost everything that was in the freezer. It was repaired for about 300.00. I do like the ice machine and the water faucet. There is plenty of room and I think that the drawers on the bottom are a nice size. The shelves in the refrigerator size are easy to take out and I just throw them into the dishwasher. They are adjustable, which is nice because sometimes I put something tall in there. The shelves on the doors do hold a lot of things and they are easy to remove as well. Overall I would recommend this product for a midgrade refridgerator. Looks nice in the kitchen too.

Maytag always has made great applioances and this refridgerator is no different! I love it! The black looks sophisticated and nice in my kitchen and I didn't have to spend a fortune on it. This fridge and freezer has tons of storage space and I can really stock up and not have to go to the grocery store every day. The ice maker is an excellent addition because I don't have to waste space in the freezer with messy ice cube trays taht spill if they aren't frozen yet and someone opens the door. The shelves do seem a bit flimsy, but I haven't had any spills or broken shelves yet. The drawers are great and keep my produce nice and fresh. I don't have to worry about food getting yucky one day after I buy it. I also really love that I can get a cool drink of water without even opening the fridge which leaves more space for food rather than storing 24 bottles of water inside.

Since perchasing this side-by-side refridgerator 3 months ago, I will never again be content not to have crushed ice in the door. We use this feature far, far more than I would have anticipated. The easy cleaning glass shelves, milk jug accomedating door shelves, and the Pur water filter are also appreciated. At first, compared with the traditional freezer on top models we had owned before, the space seemed cramped. Take heart. Once you get used to the different configuration, you realize it is at least as roomy as other models that seem wider but offer the same footage. It comes in a stainless steel finish, for that industrial feel, but my version is white. The only problem I have noticed is one of the door handles, which is made to slip on pegs when set up, is not as tight fitting on one side as the other. Consequently, it works it's way upward over time and has to be slid back down. This is easy enough, but unfortunately has scratched the paint just above the handle where it tends to migrate. Luckily, it does not particularly bother me, because I'm not sure much could be done to correct it. I don't have any reason to believe that this is a design flaw, just a quirk on my individual unit.

This Maytag side-by-side refrigerator is a great buy for a family sized refrigerator. It was never a thought to purchase a side-by-side but when the opportunity to purchase this size at a great price with all the options included, it was worth giving it a try. My former refrigerator suddenly quit after only seven years and four months. As much as I prefer a bottom freezer and full size shelves this is a total change for me. After a couple weeks of adjustment - and buying all new food to fill it - I admit to liking it quite a bit. Arranging items on the shelves and door is a bit of a challenge. The ice and water in the door is a feature my family really enjoys. Being able to view the freezer contents without moving them around is very nice, too.

This fridge came in our new house and it is amazing. I love the ice maker, something we never had before. I love house spacious it is. There is a compartment for everything. I love that I can put things for my son low down and he can access it anytime he wants a drink or snack. I really love the freezer space. It is able to hold SO much. The shelves are kinda flimsy but it was not something I could not deal with. The door space is some of the biggest I have ever seen. This refrigerator is a perfect fit for our home. It matches everything so well. It does not show dirt at all. It is super easy to clean out and clean fingerprints from the outside of it from my 2 year old. I do have to say this is one really great refrigerator for the price, yes there are others out there for more and have more options but for a decent price, this is SO worth it.

We have had this model fridge for about 3 years now and it is a great model. I love the front panels and the ice maker on the front. Our model is mirror like all black and it is very easy to clean- a very important note if you have small kids with hand prints a constant on the front of the fridge. I like the all black because it is very forgiving and classic with almost any decor. It is energy efficient and has a good deal amount of storage. The shelving is adjustable and the drawers are generous. You even have a separated area where you can store drinks and can keep that part cooler if you want. The freezer is a good size as well. Again plenty of adjustable shelving with a generous pull out drawer as well. The icemaker is a good size and the machine is very easy to adjust temperature settings and filter. No complaints and Thank you again Maytag!

We purchased this Maytag refrigerator about two months ago and I will say that I am in the middle on whether to right a positive or negative review. The Maytag refrigerator is definitely a specious unit which holds a lot of food, drinks, etc but the cooling temperature seems to be off as sometimes it is way too cold and other times it does not cool the food enough regardless of what the temperature dial is set too. The freezer has many similar issues as the dial is not really a good show of what temperature the freezer actually is. We've spoken to a couple of people within the Maytag customer service team and they have been very helpful in giving advice and being courteous but they have yet to figure out what the issue with the Maytag refrigerator really is. We are currently looking to get a replacement unit from Maytag as this unit really seems to be defective. At this time, I would not recommend this unit.

Bought this frig for our new house in April 2010. Love it! Lots of room and doesnt show fingerprints like the stainless steel we had. No problems so far. Only con is that the icemaker is kind of louder than others I have seen.

We have owned our Maytag Side by Side refrigerator now for 2 years.  We find it to be an average refrigerator that gets the job done.  We enjoy having the water/ice in the door feature on a refrigerator.  The set up of the refrigerator and freezer space is pretty good, and i feel like we can fit quite a bit of stuff in each side.  Almost all of the shelves are removable and moveable, so you can arrange things the way that works best for you.  The glass shelves are quite easy to clean, most of the time I remove them and wash them right up in my sink.The refrigerator and freezer seem to perform well as far as keeping things cold and fresh as well.  Our Maytag refrigerator is in black and it is so easy to clean (much easier than our previous stainless steel one!), and I love that It is magnetic (again, unlike our previous stainless steel one).  The kids enjoy seeing their work and pictures on the fridge!
