Maybelline The Colossal VOLUM EXPRESS mascara Review

Growing up, I was a HUGE tomboy.  I wore my brother's clothes, I played video games (and still do), my dressiest shoes lit up when I walked, and I was frequently caked in dirt.  When I was seventeen, I sort of (but not completely) grew out of that stage and started wearing girl clothes and make-up.  So I'm not as experienced as many girls are when it comes to make-up and finding the right products.  However, I have one thing to say: I love Maybelline mascara.

Not only does Maybelline last on lashes, but it lasts in the tube.  I have had my Maybelline Colossal Volume Express mascara for over a year now and it still works like it did when I first got it.  Every other brand I've used lasts about two or three months before it dries out or the brush gets worn.  But not Maybelline!  Every use looks just as fresh and new as the very first one (even the tube itself looks brand new - this is quality stuff!).

The only fault I found with this product was the tube "malfunction."  However, I let this slide since the mascara is, as I said, over a year old.  A few times, I've gone to pull the wand out of the tube and the part that removes the extra gloop from the wand brush has come off with the wand, which makes the wand extremely gloopy.  This is easily fixed, though.  Just put the wand back into the tube, twist it closed, and then untwist it and remove it again.  The wand de-glooper puts itself back in place and the wand is ready to use.  Problem solved.  Crisis averted.

The Maybelline Colossal Volume Express - as well as all other Maybelline mascara products - are definitely worth the price.  They last a long time and they make your lashes look great.  Other brands look promising, others I've tried and loved, but I still always find myself going back to Maybelline.  You can't beat it.  I usually have at least three tubes of it in my make-up back (Colossal Volume Express, Great Lash, and Define-A-Lash are the three big ones for me).  For those who are looking for a new mascara and for those who are new to make-up and need help deciding on the right brand, I fully recommend Maybelline.
