Maybelline Superstay Lipcolor Review

As a busy working mom - and someone who just doesn't take a lot of time for make up Maybelline Superstay Lipcolor is an excellent choice for long wearing, stay on my lips, glossy lip color that I don't have to apply over and over again.

Maybelline Superstay Lipcolor comes in approximately 20 different shades, my favorites are in the pink and natural tones, I admit to in the winter getting something a little more bright for holiday parties and night time dates with the husband.  It is easy to put on with one end of the tube a smooth on sponge with lip color and the other end of the tube with lip gloss/top coat coverage. 

The price for Maybelline Superstay Lipcolor is usually a reasonable $6.99 but I almost always have a coupon and look for sales at Walmart and Walgreens where I always get a freebie with my lipstick purchase.

My Viewpoint:  Maybelline Superstay Lipcolor gets me through my day without having to constantly check on my lipstick and without any embarrassing lip stick stains on straws, glasses, children, friends, or husband.  It is very important when applying it to wait a full two minutes or more after applying color before applying the top coat. It makes a big difference in how long the color lasts.  I have actually had days where Maybelline Superstay Lipcolor lasted the entire day without any problems or reapplication.  That's a good day.  The general average long wearing color time for me is about 6 hours but I am usually home by then so who cares if it comes off.

Removal can be a problem, you absolutely HAVE to use a make up remover product and sometimes give it a good scrub.  The color comes off in little bits and pieces sometimes but it does eventually come off. There is a light flavor to Maybelline Superstay Lipcolor that is not unpleasant.  A few application tips - don't smush your lips after applying. Use a steady hand and apply equal amounts. Wait a full two minutes before applying glossy top coat and viola' you are ready to go.
