BEST eye shadow!

By

from Coppell, TX

Comments about Maybelline Eye Studio Cream Eyeshadow Trio 25 Neutral Liasons:

I totally love this new eyeshadow from Maybeline! The only reason I tried it at first was because I had a coupon for it, but now I'm hooked! First off, I love that you apply it with your fingers-that makes the application process so quick and easy, and I feel like it helps me to do a better job of getting the eye shadow right where I want it. I love the colors. I use the Neutral kind, and I'll be honest, it makes my eyes look smokin' hot... ;) I love the texture of it, it's creamy and smooth and it makes applying and blending it super easy. And I love the staying power. This is the only eye shadow I've ever tried that actually stays all day long. When I remove my make up at night, it's still there. Love it. And it's a great price for such a great product!

Beautiful Colors, but Not as Great as Expected

By

from Ridgefield, CT

Comments about Maybelline Eye Studio Cream Eyeshadow Trio 25 Neutral Liasons:

The Maybelline Eye Studio Cream Eyeshadow Trio 25 Neutral Liasons is a great everyday palette, since it comes with some everyday, basic colors. It comes with three colors - a cream color, a light taupe, and dark brown. These eyeshadows are VERY sheer though, but that's to be expected since it's a cream eyeshadow. However, they're sheerer than other cream eyeshadows that I've tried and can get very easily blended away on your lid. The eyeshadow application is pretty self explanatory - the cream color as highlight, taupe as the lid color, and dark brown as the crease color. Another reason I like this is because the palette is great for on-the-go or for travel, because it's very slim and compact. However, it's really compact because it doesn't really come with a lot of product, and since you need a lot of product to actually get these colors to show up on your eyes, I'm not sure if it's worth the seven bucks I paid for it. However, since the colors are really nice and the palette is good for on the go, I'd probably repurchase.

Eyestudio has beautiful colors but a little hard to use

By

from Utica, NY

Comments about Maybelline Eye Studio Cream Eyeshadow Trio 25 Neutral Liasons:

I bought Maybelliene Eyestudio because it seemed like something different.  Two of the 3 colors are a bit more of a wet look which is something I've seen done a lot and thought was gorgeous.  Since I don't have the money to buy expensive brand products, this one seemed like a good one to try for the money.

Maybe part of my cynicism is due to the fact that I am new with wet style make up (or at least I haven't used it in a while) but what threw me about this product is that it does not come with any sort of brush.  I realize a great deal of people have their own tools (I do as well) and its very easy to get applicators, but the fact is I'm not skilled enough to know which tool is the best.  I think I read on the website to use your fingers.  I tried that, but my fingers are not precise enough to get the make up the way I want.  I use my fingers to blend, but I don't know how to apply fully with just my fingers.

Secondly, because it is wet, it continues to be somewhat wet on your face.  The only problem with that is that if you have oily eyelids, its not going to last long.  I haven't tried this yet, but I imagine this type of eye shadow would work better with an eye lid primer which is supposed to guard off the oils.  I think then it would stay on your face without creasing.

I give it 4 stars for now because I do like the colors and the shimmery look.  Though I have my issues with it, I feel part of it may be myself not being as experienced (then again, its not designer make up, it shouldn't be too hard to figure out).  I feel like I want to try what I stated above and that will satisfy how I wanted this product to work for me.
