Very different, but fun!

Maybelline Dream Mousse Eyeshadow is a good eyeshadow, it applies easily and stays on well. I am not a huge fan of the consistency of the mousse, I prefer a regular shadow. It just feels a little weird to me. Also, I noticed that I went through the shadow more quickly than with the typical eyeshadows. However, still a good eyeshadow and not a bad price.

Waste of time and money, it dissolved into nothing

I was expecting something good with this one; I really like cream eyeshadows because of their thick texture so seeing this in the package made me think it would be a great base for other colors. I was expecting a smooth, even and vivid layer of color. But it was like trying to wear air as eyeshadow, and not in a good way. I applied a thin layer of their purple shade and didn't see even a hint of color on my eyelids, and I have pale skin so colors usually show up well on me. I waited a few minutes to let the layer dry and than added another; it went on smooth because it is a very smooth product, but I still only saw a faint amount of color On it's own it doesn't have enough color to be worth it, so I tried it as a base for other colors. It held the shadow I layered on it okay at first but then settled in my eyelid creases and left thick lines, and the wore off in only a few hours after smearing the entire time I had it on. These are just flat out not worth it, the price is mid-range but it's not even worth that; you don't get color payout and you're left with a sticky mess on your eyelids that is hard to remove later on without some strong makeup remover to get the residue off.

Maybelline Dream Mousse Eyeshadows Are Okay

I purchased one of the Maybelline Dream Mousse Eyeshadows from a drugstore near me. I don't remember the price of it though. I like the packaging of this eyeshadow. That's one thing that I like. It's not cheap. It's very sturdy glass. I also like how the top is pretty strong so it won't break. Also, the pigmentation of these eyeshadows are alright. They aren't bad, or good. These also wear away on parts of my eye. I'm not really sure why. Also, I don't know why, but these can get a little chunky. I use a primer when I use these too, and they still tend to get chunky. Also, I do not like how you have to basically scoop out the product. I use my finger, and I have tried a brush to get this product onto my eye. Patting and rubbing the product does not work. You basically have to scoop a small amount out of the container for the color to actually get on my eye. It annoys me a lot, since this causes a little bit of a mess, and it uses quite a bit of product. Overall, I do not recommend this.

I wanted to start wearing make up, so I checked this out. It's very creamy and pigmented. Its easy to apply, but I usually don't like creamy eyeshadows, but this has a color you can see! The pot is very small, so its portable. The only down side is it creases and doesn't last long.

If you are looking for a unique eye makeup product to try, then the Maybelline Dream Mousse Eyeshadow is a good choice.  I was tired of using regular eyeshadow and wanted to something different and shimmery and this product caught my attention.  The packaging is appealing, it's in a little glass pot with the color of the product the same as the lid.  So I was automatically able to find the shade I was looking for, which was a skin tone shimmer.  I bought the Maybelline Dream Mousse Eyeshadow in 10 Ivory Illusion.  The glass container makes it easy for you to see what the color is by flipping it upside down so you can see the actual color, because you know how sometimes the lids and caps are different than the actual color.  The texture is creamy and it goes on creamy, but it could have a smoother finish.  It lasts so I don't need to reapply.   The color could use a little more pigment, but the color is pretty.  It's an average quality product.

The dream Mousse eyeshadow's are fun to play with and deffinatly have a unique texture that make them appealing, they can be applied with fingers or a brush, I prefer to work with it with my fingers so the heat of my skin can break down the clumps the mousse has, also it's better to use with a flat synthetic brush and pack it on the eylelid. The shimmer of the eyeshadows overpowers the color and I personally dislike it because if it gets on your face and you alredy have applied foundation it makes your face shimmery and you need to redue your whole foundation. The eyeshadow also creases if used without a primer and if you go to a club or a place were you sweat the eyeshadow slides and your face at the end of the night can be a glitter ball. I orginally ourchased 3 eyeshadows in the colors silver halo, heavenly pink and a beige champane color that i alredy tossed. Currently I use none and i prefer mac paint pots or urban decay cream eyeshadows , very good quality and have more color than shimmer.

I have tryed several of these, and I must say, there not the best. But, they are not horrible either. They go on pretty smooth, but I feel like they don't do much for the powder eye shadow you would have to put on over it. I like the feel, and the packageing of this product. I just don't feel they do much. Some of the ones that i have tryed, you can't hardy see when you put it on. When i use cream eye shadow, I use it mostly to make my powder eye shadow more vibrant or stand out more. I just don't think these do that for me. There good to have if you just wanted a little more staying power in light eye shadow  looks. But even with the price being pretty ok, i'm just not sure I will be buying too many more of these. I haven't recomended these to anyone, but I havent stirred anyone away from these either, there just kinda blah in my book. I would like to see a little more pigmentation in these!

The container it comes in is what you pay for.

OK. I have to agree that this product was very disappointing.  The colours looked luscious and the texture sounded wonderful.  I, too, purchased the light green and I also bought the light pink Dream Mousse Shadow. When I tried each of them, I got the same result -- hardly any color added to my eyelids but a whole bunch of sparkle.  And, I was not looking for sparkle. I put the two pretty little pots of eye shadow away in my cosmetic bag and forgot about them for a while.  Then, a month or so later, I pulled them out and thought I'd give one of them a try again.  When I opened up the pot, the mousse was hard and clumpy and it was difficult to even attempt to apply it to my eyelid.  I had tightened the lid good, so I don't know why the texture changed so dramatically. I decided the best place to store these two eyeshadows was in the trash.  I would not recommend the product to anyone.

My dream eye shadow turned out to be a nightmare!

**Quick View** **Maybelline Dream Mousse Shadow** is a huge disappointment and I will not purchase it again. All sparkle, no color! **Full Story** I chose a pretty green shade of **Maybelline Dream Mousse Shadow **called Mint Dream at my local drugstore to go with a pretty green top I was wearing. It looked great in the container but dreadful on my eyelids. **My Use **The color looked perfect in the jar and even better when I opened the jar. The texture is like that of mousse - whipped and light. There is shimmer in this shadow and it is fairly evident just by looking at the shadow in the pot that your lids will have sparkles. I don't like shimmer too much but more and more products are adding shimmer and sparkle to their formulas and I am slowly getting used to it. Besides, the event I was going to was fairly formal and at night so some shimmer would have been very appropriate. I got shimmer. I just didn't realize I wouldn't get any COLOR with the shimmer! I swiped my finger across the top of the shadow and smoothed it onto my eyelids. It felt cool and creamy but I couldn't see any green color. I saw lots of shimmer though. I did the other lid then put a second coat on my lids hoping the pretty green shade would show up. Nope. I got a couple of lidfuls of sparkle in a somewhat sticky base. And then it creased! I am very surprised at - and disappointed with - this shadow. It honestly has very, very little actual pigment. There is no scent that I can discern and the shadow looks great. In the jar. It also has a nice texture that feels creamy and cool when applied. But where IS the color? The shades available in this shadow are *Cloud Wine, Coffee Cake, Soft Plum, Vanilla Veil, Ivory Illusion, Suede Sensation, Tranquil Rose, Lilac Cloud, Blue Heaven, Heavenly Pink, *and *Mint Green. *They all sound so irresistible but I won't fall for Maybelline's marketing tactics again. I tossed the Mint Dream away and, with it, my dreams of a creamy, light, creaseless shadow in a little glass pot. **My Viewpoint **I am really disappointed **in Maybelline Dream Mousse Shadow**. It has so much potential but falls so short. My lids were sparkly and creased but not shaded and sexy as promised. I would not buy this shadow again nor would I recommend it to anyone. I am so disappointed that ***I give it 1 star.*** There are so many eye shadows available in all price ranges and all formulas that actually do a fair to excellent job, why waste your hard earned money on empty promises?
