Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse —

I was at one time a huge fan of Maybelline's Matte Dream Mousse, and when commercials began springing up about their newest Dream Mousse Liquid Foundation, I went straight to my local superstore looking for it!

I figured the new Maybelline Liquid Dream Mousse would be as feathery airy as the concealer that came in a glass jar would. Figured it'd give me the same gorgeous airbrush flawless finish, and figured it would be worth the $7.99 I was about to spend on it.

Maybelline's New Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation comes in a glass stand up tube, but the plastic push down pump attached to it seemed a little flaky and cheap. I knew if I left it in my bag it would most likely break.

The cap it came with is also so pathetic, that I honestly think they could have saved resources by not adding it at all. It's a half cap!? Yeah! Can you believe that, a half cap!?

Anyhow, when I got home, I washed my face and exfoliated to make sure the foundation would spread evenly.

I pushed some of the foundation out by pumping on the pump dispenser. The foundation came oozing out like any 'ole runny foundation.

I applied it to my face, and it did spread very easily. The only problem I was having though was that it was not at all covering up flaws or hiding blemishes quite as well as other foundations I have used do.

I thought that I would really love this stuff, but it was nothing at all like the wonderful mousse they put out a year or so ago. It was cheap, runny, and didn't do squat for coverage.

The worst thing about the foundation though was how it left my skin very greasy just a few moments after applying it. I knew it was clogging pores, and creating the development of oil. (That is what skin naturally does when it cannot breathe)

The very next day after wearing the foundation, my skin broke out. Wow! This one is sooo going back to the store for a refund.

Overall:

Skip out on this one entirely. I thought it would be wonderful, and fell for the whole idea of it working as wonderful as the last mousse Maybelline released. Unfortunately it does a barely passable job at covering flaws, and it leaves skin oily, which can and will produce breakout.

I actually don't care for Maybelline products, and this is DEFINITELY one I will be hiding from! Great review!
