Most HelpfulI've had bad luck with Maybelleine mascara products in the past. They would clump, make my eyes itch, sometimes smell a bit funky or too much fragrance in it AND worst of all... make my eyes look like something out of the "Rocky Horror Picture Show"!!!!!
When I saw it on sale i mustered up my courage to try it. Simple instructions...a good start... a little concerned about something I read, water proof but washes off easily with water(something like that) Did that mean it whould flake in the rain?? I checked a couple of specks one day, none another....
review »I have tried a LOT of different mascaras! I have tried almost all of the brands that are available at places like Target or Walmart and have a few favorites. The Maybelline Define-A-Lash Mascara is now in my favorites category.
Prior to trying this mascara, I had two favorites that I bought routinely: CoverGirl Lash Exact and CoverGirl Lash Blast. Although Maybelline Define-A-Lash Mascara doesn't meet all three of my requirements for a mascara, I just might change the rules for this product - it's that good.
My three requirements for a good mascara are: lengthening, volumizing and separating. ...
review »I bought this mascara after all the raves I heard from this website. It's okay I guess. I like the color but I was disapointed with the quality. I applied the mascara as I usually do and all it did was darken and glue my lashes together. I've tried giving it a second chance but had the same result. I hate when I have to work to get my lashes to look full by pulling clumped sections apart. Needless to say, I've gone back to my old mascara that I was disapointed in a few weeks ago and I will continue my search for just the right mascara.
I bought the waterproof very black version of this mascara as a buy 1 get one free this weekend at Rite Aid, and I LOVE IT!!! This is exactly the look I have been looking for, and spending $20-40 dollars a tube to NOT find!!! The brush "scared" me at first because it's more flexible than I'm used to, but we made fasy friends. Heading out to CVS now ... this week they have the same special, and I'm going to get more!
Why You'll Love It
This zero clump mascara creates stunning length with clean definition.
For Best ResultsSweep brush upwards from root to tip to separate individual lashes and to achieve definition and length. Do not let dry between coats. Removes easily with soap and water or Maybelline® New York Expert Eyes® Moisturizing Eye Makeup Remover.
Fantastic in my opinion! I've used every kind of fancy department store mascara, and this is by far, the BEST. I actually bought...
review »Maybelline Define A-Lash Mascara does the job that I need it too. It lenthens my eye lashes like it says it would. But I do hav to apply at least 5 times to get it to wheer I want. I like the color of the tube, it is something different from the normal black color mascara tubes. So it makes it easier to find in my make-up case or purse. It is also inexpensive so that is nice. You sometimes even find deals on it at certain stores like buying one and getting the second one half off or even free. Another thing I liked about it is that it didn't flake!!! So I didn'thave to worry about something...
review »I am extremely picky when it comes to mascara. I want a natural look, but still want my lashes to look long, thick and beautiful. I also wear contacts so, whatever I use, can't be runny or flaky. This mascara has a wonderful, smooth texture but is not excessively thick. The brush delivers the product well while separating your lashes for a delicate look and you can't beat the cost. I've tried Maybeline's other mascara's and, generally, they are okay; but sometimes find that the fragrance bothers my eyes and the mascara gets flaky over time. I've had nothing but good luck with this product...
review »I used to only wear clear mascara until I got a free sample of this Maybelline mascara. It comes in a really bright green, shiny tube. It goes on smooth and doesn't leave clumps. My eyelashes looked super-long after I put it on, but they also looked really thin, so it didn't really volumize. It's pretty good but more expensive than I would pay for mascara. I don't really suggest this product.
I have been trying for years to find a great mascara. I'm a big fan of most Maybelline mascaras, including the tried-and-true Great Lash, but I am always testing out new products. Define-A-Lash is one of my new favorites. In my opinion, this mascara does a better job than Great Lash at defining and volumizing lashes without clumping. I love the rubberized brush- the product itself doesn't stick to the brush, and it provides the perfect application.
A few negatives I noticed with Define-a-Lash: 1.) the color is not as dramatic as in other mascaras like Great Lash. Even "Blackest Black"...
review »The one thing we can all agree upon is mascara, right? I must say, I've tried my share of different, inexpensive to "are you kidding me,that much money for a mascara",which I ended up buying, thinking, hey, if it's that expensive, it should be great, right? WRONG!!!.This Maybelline Define-A-Lash Mascara, says it all.Wow, I stood in front of my mirror in amazement at how well it defined my lashes. Not only did it seperate,it also expanded my lashes and of the course the best part,"drum roll please",no clumps and that's not only the best part, that's right, there's...
