Mayada —

Mayada is a great book about a woman from one of the most prestigious families in all of Iraq who finds herself arrested on a trumped-up charge and thrown into prison. The story centers on her experience in "Cell 52" and on the interactions between her and the other women there. Flashbacks give the reader insight into the history of Iraq and of Mayada's family.

An incredible book and a very fast read.
