I am a dog trainer assistant and have learned much about animal health from my current employer. I set out to improve my own dogs diets. I have a large breed obedience trail dog and two small shih tzus. I was hoping to find a food that would serve them all.
After reading HUNDREDS (or so it seemed) ingredient labels on dog food bags at every store from Pet Smart to local distributors...I stumbled across this Maxximum food at WalMart one day. It has no fillers, no wheat, absolutely NO corn (which is fantastic) and contains the same enhancers that higher priced dog foods offer (beets, tomatoes, carrots, rice and barley). I picked it up and my dogs not only love it...I have seen a dramatic change in the activity of my 8 yr old shih tzu. All three of them have toned up, slimmed down and perked up their attitudes.
I understand this is only a trial available in WalMart stores. Please tell the WalMart folks that us poor folks like high quality things for our pets, too, and not to remove it from their shelves for a long time
I got everything out of the food I was looking for in the higher priced foods. Would love to see Maxximum in other stores and in canned varieties.
