This a great book by James Patterson, targeted at young adults or teens.  However, it has appeal for adults as well.  I personally enjoyed it (in my 30's) as did my mother (in her 50's).

It's a great story about a group of very special children who are just trying to get along in the world.  The poor kids were taken as infants and experimented on.  Now they have wings with which they can fly and are discovering new powers every day.  They escaped from the lab where they were held their entire lives and are trying to make a home in the world while running from the madmen who created them. ...

Maximum Ride : The Angel Experiment is a story intended for young adults, but is still an interesting read for different types of readers. It revolves around Max and her "flock", a term used to describe her unique family. These kids all have been genetically altered by scientists from "The School" to have wings and enhanced physical and mental strength. The flock is constantly on the run from the School's "Erasers", who are also genetically altered people who are trying to find the Flock. When one of their own is taken, these kids rush to save their own, and Max leads them as they are her family....

This was a really interesting book.  It is the story of a group of young kids that have had their DNA spliced with bird DNA.  They escape from the lab where these experiments have taken place.  But then they get hunted by kids that have had their DNA spliced eith wolf DNA.  My daughter and I both enjoyed it.  It has interesting characters that are continually in motion.  It was really hard to put it down.  There are a couple twists that we never saw coming.

I don't know, how even to explain it, but for some reason this time James Peterson didn't come through for me. Nevertheless, you still could recognize his style, that I happened to like. As far as this particular book is concerned,  it is anything but repetition of his previous characters and plots, just this time it seems so artificial and out of place. To his credit, he tried skillfully desguise it. It didn't work. Sorry.

This is my first experience with listening to a book on a CD.  I absolutely enjoyed my listening time. I won this 12 cd audiobook from the James Patterson website.

It was totally entertaining and I really enjoyed having it on my two 8 hour drives a week ago. It definitely made the drive go faster and much more interesting. I am now a fan of James Patterson and also a fan of audiobooks.

I will be donating this set to some children that I think will enjoy the fictionized story. Very entertaining for them I think.

I am ready to take another long trip just so I can listen to other audiobooks. What...

I read this book Maximum Ride the Angel Experiment, before I would let my kids read it, I had read reviews, and they seemed ok, but I wanted to make sure.  Sure enough, this book kept you on the edge of your seat.  It was said to be aimed at young adults, and teenagers, but as an adult, I loved it!  Definately a must for a home library.
