Maxim Magazine  — 

I started getting Maxim about 18 months ago but not sure how, they send it yet I never get a bill. I like free stuff and this was no exception at first, as there were many articles that I liked reading. Sure they have pretty girls in it with very little clothing on but I really liked reading the articles they used to have. That's what made Maxim stand out for me but alas times change and so did Maxim.

About 12 months ago the format changed, yep like most magazines they were not happy with it so they changed it around. I still see the nearly naked women (done tastefully of course) but gone are some of the features I liked best. They used to have short articles, snippets if you will of state laws and humorous stories about them. That's now gone and they also upped the amount of advertisements in it.

I get sick of seeing the "Male Enhancement" advertisements splattered all over it now. Sure it's a magazine for men but enough is enough! When these multiplied the good articles shrank to near nothing.

Bottom Line

I think Maxim needs to rethink things here......If I want male enhancement or garbage articles from cover to cover I will get a subscription to a magazine that has them, such as those "Supermarket Trash Magazines" I am sure glad I am not paying for Maxim either as I would cancel in a heart beat!

I know they need advertisements to stay in business but they need good content as well and they are taking them out now. Seems like every-time I find something I like it changes and goes to Hell in a Handbasket! Perhaps some like the new changes but I am not one of them, bring back the old Maxim! Most men don't want Male Enhancement ads thrown at them all the time, at least I don't!

Now Maxim is just average and mediocre at best, too bad as it used to have me looking forward to each issue but not anymore.......

Well I may get flack from some for saying this but..........They could do with less flash and better articles...If I want to see women partially dressed I can look at websites but I get a magazine to enjoy the articles not pictures.....;)

In one of my groups one woman complained and said it was just short of "porno" and she was immediately cancelling her subscription. We used to get Maxim but haven't in about a year, was unaware of the changes. How sad. It did have good articles, I even enjoyed many of them.

No I found an old email dated 11/2006 and it gave me 12 months free through MyPoints...seems they not only messed up my magazine they can't count either....lol ;)
