Maxim Magazine Review

My husband received a subscription to Maxim years ago from a friend and we just keep on resubscribing. I get a ton of magazines for myself and when Maxim started arriving I thought it was nice that there was a magazine just for him that wasn't always centered around sports. Don't get me wrong, we LOVE sports. We named our dogs Shula and Marino. I'm sure you can guess after which team, right?

I thought my husband would enjoy reading the magazine and I could overlook the scantly clad women gracing the pages. The first issues arrived and after looking through it my husband left it on the coffee table. So I picked it up and decided to flip through and see if there were any interesting articles. After reading the thing practically cover to cover I was hooked. I think I actually read the magazine before my husband does now.

Of course they have the beautiful girls in lingerie and bikinis and there is a men's shopping section instead of a women's but they also have some great articles on everything from the deadliest city in the United States to how to splint a broken arm (I could also stitch you up if the bone happened to break the skin thanks to Maxim.) I love that they have stories about actors, athletes, cool electronics, great places to find a good hamburger and the best party cities, among a ton of other stuff. After reading five different articles in my magazines on how to lose 10 pounds in a week, I can move over to Maxim and find out how to gain back that 10 pounds drinking the best beer on earth.

So ladies, the next time your husband's monthly addition of Maxim magazine arrives in the mail don't just throw it on the table for him to pick up. Grab a cool Mojito, find a comfortable place to relax and flip through the pages. You just might find you like this men's mag as much as I do.
