Pros

better than most, great unique brush, no flakes

I purchased the Max Factor Volume couture mascara on a whim. I hadn't had much success with any mascara--drugstore or department store--so I figured it was best to purchase a mascara that was reasonably priced.

The Volume couture brush is called iFX; it claims to deliver lash definition and volume. I was skeptical of the brush being any better than ordinary mascara wands, but I must say the results proved me wrong!

The mascara is thick, so make sure to wipe off the excess before applying it. The iFX brush truly does separate and define the lashes. Sometimes with ordinary brushes all of my lashes clump together, but the volume couture separated them, which made my eyes look bigger and brighter.

My lashes are neither long nor curled, so I did use an eyelash curler before and after applying the mascara. When I finished I noticed that my lashes looked better than they've ever been! But the real excitement came hours later when I glanced in the mirror and noticed that my lashes still looked perfect! A friend even complimented me and asked what kind of mascara I used!

The Volume couture is definitely worth checking out, and I will repurchase when I need another tube. Whether you love drugstore makeup or you're a mascara snob, this product is definitely worth checking out.
