got it last summer and still have it. It has a very good coverage but it can leave you looking a little bit cakey if used too much. The color matches well and it mattifyes my skin which I like. It also has a nice pleasant scent. The con is a bit higher price compared to the other similar brands,

I have been using Max Factor Pancake makeup for about fifteen years.  I love it because it comes in my shade (super-ultra pale, not the official color name) and because I can determine how much coverage I want-which these days is generally pretty heavy!  You use it by wetting a sponge (I always buy the Max Factor sponges that they sell near the pancake makeup; the wedge-shaped cheapy things don't work very well) and applying the foundation to the sponge and then to your face.  Now there are a few downsides to pancake foundation; the first is that you do have to use a sponge, which even though I wash and wring it out every time does get a little yucky after awhile.  Also it doesn't come with SPF which as a super pale person who is facing 40 I have become more aware of.  And also it is getting a little difficult to find in the stores.   All-in-all though this is a classic beauty product and I hope they are not slowly discontinuing it.
