The Maui Seaside Hotel provided a clean, comfortable room, and my room on the 3rd floor had a view of the ocean and the mountains. From my window I could see at least 20 miles in a panoramic view. The hotel had a very clean, well-maintained pool area with grass all around, with the beach about 200... read full review »

The Maui Seaside Hotel gives you what you would expect for the price you pay. It is located in a light commercial area, near the cruise ship terminal in Kahului, and is a decent place to stay if you are looking for budget accomodations on a great island. The staff is very friendly, and efficient. ... read full review »

Althought the rooms are small - (this is an older hotel - think 60's motel) - we were extrememly satisfied with the accomodations. We are only 2 people so there was plenty of room. If it is a family of 4 - it could be tight in a room with two beds. When we arrived we were told that our room would not be available until 3:00 - they let us change clothes in one of the rooms which we very much appreciated since we were on a plane for 8 hours. They have added a three story tower with newer rooms, but when we return we will ask to be in the origin part that fronts the pool area again. We found the... read full review »

This hotel may not be the best looking or the newest, but it serves its purpose. The room was a normal size with two queen beds, a night stand in the middle of beds, a small round table with two soft large chairs, a dresser with drawers and the TV set on top of the dresser. The bath room was larger than some I have seen in other hotel rooms with a sink and large counter space, toliet and shower with a bathtub. The shower head was set kind of low on the wall but my husband and I did just fine. My husband by the way is 5'11. The pool was a nice size and very clean, but was only open until... read full review »

The Seaside hotel was simply a place to stay during our trip. We had beds, and a tv at least. The carpet wasn't that clean so I didn't dare let my daughter sit on the floor, and the beds were a little hard, so difficult to sleep for me. It was really windy when we were there, and the wind would push the door, sounds like someone was trying to open the door. Husband kept getting up in the middle of the night to check the door. Was also able to hear water during the night from others. The pool looks very clean - since the pool is only open from 9am to 6pm, not many people used it. Very little... read full review »

It was a lovely hotel with a great view of the harbor. The Norwegien Cruise Line ships that burthed there were spectacular all lit up at night. The major downside was that the restaurant was closed for remodeling and the hotel next door with a restaurant was VERY PRICEY! The location was exactly what we were looking for...close to shopping and all other amenities, including the Maui Cultural Center where we were fortunate enough to see Madama Butterfly opera - which was absolutely wonderful. We would definitely recommend this hotel to friends on a budget. With just a little upgrade, it would be... read full review »

This was a good low-price, low-key hotel, not really near any of the great Maui destinations, but the island is small enough that it didn't matter. Basically you're 20 minutes from the South Coast and 40 minutes from the West Coast. My room was large and comfortable and the staff kept it clean. The pool is small but still remains a centerpoint, with lots of folks gathering around in the afternoon; pool hours were very limited, however: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The staff was friendly, but didn't seem to know a lot about the island and nearby activities, so come prepared.

Time Savers: Short Drive, The hotel...

The continential breakfast could have been expanded, to have a few more items. Some of the motels I have stayed at served a MUCH BETTER breakfast. They could include waffels, bagels and friut for not very much more trouble or expense. The rooms were clean and the first night was very uncomfortable for me, in that I am a tall person and only had a double bed, so my feet stuvk off the end about a foot. The staff did switch my room in the morning, to a better room, but the first night was bad. I went down to the front desk and ask if they could move me and was told NO, they were full, with out... read full review »

THE MAUI SEASIDE WAS A VERY CLEAN RESORT ON THE OUTSIDE. THE ROOMS ARE NICE, BUT THE BESDS WERE VERY UNCONFORTABLE AND THERE WAS ALOT OF DUST STUCK TO THE CEILING. THE SHOWER HEAD WAS TO LOW. THE ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN AND ON THE WHOLE I WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN IF THE BEDS WERE DIFFERENT.THERE IS LOTS OF ROOM FOR YOUR CLOTHING,AND THERE IS A SMALL FRIDGE IN THE ROOM THE STAFF WAS VERY NICE AND MADE US FEEL VERY SPECIAL.THE LOCATION IS THE BEST, CLOSE TO SHOPING AND LOTS OF GOOD RESTERUNTS. I LOVE THE FACT THAT YOU ARE RIGHT ON THE OCEAN.

Shopping: Short Walk, WHEN YOU ARE EXITING THE RESORT GO RIGHT...

What we found on both islands we visited was that there were very nice resorts or very tired motels. While you can't be too critical of the accomidations from the sheer age of the room, this was not what a person would expect who travels all over the country for a living. And while you can't beat the location, once you step into the room with no view, a room is a room is a room. We walked to dinner to avoid losing our parking space in a very packed lot. Getting out of the car with anything in your hands was a challenge.

Shopping: Long Walk, Hungry? Hope you like fast food or sushi. The best food...

Definitely a good place to stay if you just want a decent place to stay for the night (room was very spacious). The bathroom had some hair still on the counter (definitely not cleaned well) and the continental breakfast was pretty minimal. Since the going price rate is high in Maui, the amount you pay for the room is reasonable for what you get. The hotel is located close to the airport and the mall and has easy access to the major highways on the island. Parking is somewhat limited but we found a parking space each night we stayed there.

Shopping: Short Walk, The mall down the street has some...

In my experience it was perfectly fine for our needs. We just needed a place to stay for the night, not a fancy resort. The hotel was convenient to the airport and good restaurants (we were out too early and back too late to try out the hotel restaurant, but that was never our intention anyway). The room was clean and everything was in good working order. All in all, I would stay there again, and would recommend it to anyone visiting Maui who wants to spend their time and money seeing and doing things *outside* their hotel and just needs a place to crash out each night. If you are looking... read full review »

The front desk (check-in) staff were, by far, some of the best I've had. Very very friendly ladies, helpful, nice and responsive. They upgraded my room without my even asking for it. This hotel is great, too, for those who want to swim in the ocean as it is *right there*. My daughter saw a seal just a few feet away from the beach! Also, if you have wireless capability, you can relax in comfort in their lounge and get on the internet for a very small fee (compared to other places).

Shopping: Short Drive, Stores (like K-Mart), and restaurants are all within a few blocks . . a short drive.

The Maui Seaside Hotel is a great place to stay if you have things to do in the Kahalui area. It's an older hotel, but still well maintained. While there for two days, I noticed most guests leave for their excursions early in the morning and return late at night. It's perfect for that. The staff were friendly and showed lots of Aloha at check in and check out. There were lots of restaurants to choose from, but make sure you're there before 9PM as most everything closes by then.

Shopping: Short Drive, Eat at Maui Tacos in the shopping center..yummy.

The Maui Seaside was a very comfortable, quiet hotel. The complimentary breakfast with fresh fruit and muffins was a great way to start the morning for a fun filled day in hawaii. They had a private beach area, where you could see the cruise ships coming into port. The location was great, close to shopping, dining and just a short drive to either watch or participate in windsurfing.

Recreational Attactions: Short Drive, It was just a short drive to the beach for windsurfing, it was a large park with tons of room for everyone and the winds were perfect for windsurfing.
