I LOVE THIS GAME

My husband and I like to host adult/game night parties every once in a while. And, when we do, we bust out the balderdash and the beers. The great thing is that it is easy to play-- takes about 2 minutes to learn--, and more importantly, you laugh a lot, and you walk out with some new knowledge! What game isn't great when it also encourages you to lie and think of outlandish things??!!!

Balderdash is an interesting and fun game that is great for groups of people or at parties.  It's a board game in its presentation, but at its core, it is a game where having a poker face and being able to bluff well can be the best way to win.  Not only that, but the game-play provides a ton of fun (and laughter) that will have everyone in the room enjoying themselves.

We have owned the game Balderdash for several years now and never tire of it. It is never ever the same game twice, so you can play it as often as you would like.

The premise of the game is to come up with your own description of whatever the category is. For instance, if the category is "words", a word is read and then everyone writes down and submits their paper with their definition of the word. It is amazing to see all of the creative answers that people come up with.  Then one player reads off all the answers, and includes the real answer as well, and you vote on which one you think is the...

I've loved this game since my parents were playing it with their friends and I was too little to join in.  Once I was old enough, it was on!

You never end this game early, saying it's too boring.  It's fun to see which of your friends is the biggest liar and can hold the best poker face.  Meanwhile, you're learning meanings to actual words that you've never even heard of before.  I'll never forget the meaning of "whisterpoop" and I heard it when I was 8!  (Look it up online if you're curious enough!)

Balderdash a fast-paced board game that gets your creative juices flowing! I love to play this game with my kids..We seem to learn something new everyday.. some very obscure trivia can be in the game..from strange initials, odd vocabulary..to laws I cannot believe were never taken off the books! I enjoy watching my kids come up with the alternative responses...Have you ever heard the old cliche "sometimes truth is stranger than fiction"?? Well guess what folks?? This game is the epitomy of that cliche! This game is perfect for those creative minds that enjoy thinking outside the box ..A must-have...
