I have thin, fine hair that I like to wear straight, however there are times that I like to let my natural curls come out. I love the way this shampoo really makes my curls easy to manage and stay in place. I use this shampoo when I know I am going to wear my hair curly. I let it sit on my hair while I am in the shower and then fully rinse out. I have found that if I do not rinse it very well, it will weigh my hair down and my curls will look terrible. I follow up with a curl spray made by matrix and my curls look amazing. I can let them air dry and they will not frizz or look wild. This product is a bit more expensive than other shampoos on the market, but it is worth it to me. It makes it much easier to style my curls when I use this shampoo. Effectiveness This product is great for trying to manage curly hair. It leaves hair looking healthy and soft and keeps curls from frizzing. Scent The scent is great and really stays with your hair until the next wash.

I have crazy curl, damaged hair that is constantly looking for moisture.  I have found the key to keeping my curls light and bouncy is to limit how often I shampoo my hair.  Because my hair is so curly, shampoo has a tendency to weigh it down.  As a result I shampoo only once a week.  The Matrix Curl Life Shampoo is a great product because it makes my hair feel clean without heavy fragrance.  My hair stylist told me the major difference between salon products and regular brands is the presence of detergent in the regular brands.  You don't need that much sudsing, we only think we need suds to make our hair clean.  So, you may not have the sudsy experience you would get from cheaper products, but your hair will be cleaner and healthier with Matrix Curl Life Shampoo. Unfortunately, Matrix recently discontinued this line.  Hopefully they will be replacing it soon with a new line of curl friendly products.  They can't just ignore all of us curly hair girls forever!!

Bad hair days dominated my life!!  I went from very long curly hair to the short bob that I sport now over the past 25 years.  Shampooing was a nightmare, and I tried to avoid it at all cost..but, alas, it had to be done.  So, I tried and tried various shampoos and conditioners on my extremely dry, brittle wavy hair for many years. I tried to straighten, perm for control, brush, comb, and blow dry.  Then I decided to do nothing but keep it trimmed and semi short.  As the years progressed and I aged, there just didn't seem to be anything that was appropriate for my hair.  Then I was given a bottle of Matrix Curl.Life shampoo as part of a gift 2 years ago.   When I began trying Curl Life, I noticed how soft and silky and managable my unruly hair had become, and I didn't even need to use conditioner.  Any after-shampooing product was unnecessary as well.  Every now and then I will try another brand and I become the wild lady again, so I return to Curl Life.  It is an extremely amazing product that I would recommend to anyone!

The price of Matrix Curl Life is a little higher, if you purchase it at a salon, then regular shampoo but can be purchased at Wal-Mart's salon a little cheaper. Try the two bottles for the price of one sales for a better value. The conditioner that goes along with Matrix Curl Life shampoo is better than any I have ever tried so when you try the shampoo you might want to try the conditioner as well. **
