A year ago, I signed up for match.com and had laughable experiences meeting people who were not who they claimed to be...for example, a man who wasn't even the same person in the picture! But that is not the fault of the site. What was really bad about the site is that I did not always receive email and the people that I wrote to did not always receive the email. I met someone who said he has been on this site for years, and it is always problematical. When I asked for a refund (all according to the instructions I had received in writing from match.com), they told me it was their policy to NEVER give any refunds. I had to send a copy of their own policy (printed on the site) as well as the email they sent me. It was stressful, but two months later, I got my money back. I have a friend to says that they continued to bill her credit card after she had resigned! Match.com is terrible.
