practical, I believe in honesty, a romantic, Every day computer user, single, quality conscious
Pros
More complete profiles than some sites, one of the bigger dating websites
Cons
Too many profiles of inactive people, a bit expensive, watch out for auto-renewal, have to sort out bad ones, cost to much.

I have subscribed to Match.com a couple of different times for a total of about 7 months on and off, with little success. I am a female in her 40's, never married, with a professional/technical job and what I consider to be average looks. I have only exchanged emails with a handful of men during that time, and only dated one person. I found that one of the biggest frustrations with Match.com is that even though there are so many profiles on the site, the vast majority of people are not active members. Since only active subscribers can read or reply to emails, that means very few emails ever get a response. When I was not an active subscriber, I also found it frustrating that if someone sends you a "wink" or email, you have no idea who it is. It would be nice if you could at least look at that person's profile and decide if you want to know more about that person or not. Instead, you must subscribe first to get that information. I agree with another reviewer who said that most people on Match.com aren't really willing to consider someone who is more than 30-50 miles away, so if you live near a major city, Match.com might work for you, but if you're farther away, you will find far fewer people to choose from.
