I received this Mary Kay Satin Smoothie hand Scrub in a three piece set. I know Viewpoints has this listed as a discontinued product but I believe it is still available on eBay. That's where I bought this set. The three piece Satin Hands set included the Mary Kay Satin Smoothie Hand Scrub, the Satin Hands Hand Cream and the Extra Emollient Night Cream. I'm not sure how well this product would work on its own to soften hands, but along with the other pieces in the set it works very well. It definitely exfoliates well. I don't always use the set as directed. You're supposed to use the hand cream first, then the exfoliating scrub, then the extra emollient night cream. The night cream is really greasy, so if I use the set during the day I just use the exfoliating scrub first and follow it up with the regular hand cream. It still works well to soften my hands. Effectiveness I believe that the exfoliating scrub is the key to this set working as well as it does. You scrub off all the dead skin first and then moisturize the heck out of your nice soft hands so they stay soft!

I suffer from very dry hands -- cracking in the winter, etc. Mary Kay's hand smoothing scrub really helps! The product itself is like getting a hand massage when using it, so that, all by itself, makes it worthwhile in my mind. But even more than feeling good while in use, the product does the job of removing dead cells and leaving your hands smooth and silky. I know that once I have used this product, my hands will absorb and benefit from any moisturizer I use. I find it interesting that the smooting action does not leave the hands feeling dry and stripped of all natural oils. On the contrary -- my hands feel smooth and during the summer aren't screaming for moisturizer to be added. I feel like my hands are clean and ready to go. Of course, i do always try to use my MK hand cream to finish off the pampering treatment :) So while this is a wonderfully pampering product, I feel it also helps my hands heal when the skin around my fingers does crack. It helps the cuticle area look and feel healthy (and cleans the nails off at the same time!). My hands just feel healthier!

Mary Kay's Satin hands feels SO GOOD! I had been using just regular soap and dish soap.. and any soap i could find to wash my hands haha and it was drying my hands out cause its the winter time.  Then i remembered i hand gotten satin hands for christmas.  So i brought it with me, washed my hands, and MAGIC HAPPENED! my hands were so smooth with the first wash!  I had only used this product once before this, which was about a year ago.  I forgot how soft it made my hands feel.  I recommend this product to anyone with dry skin or just rough skin in general.  It also has a very nice smell to it, not to overwhelming.  Its not gender specific.  My fiancee also likes washing his hands with it.  it makes his hands softer than ever!  It has exfoliating bead which help make skin smooth, they arent too big and dont hurt at all.  The soap doesnt leave any sort of residue on your skin either, just makes them soft and feel wonderful!
