Mary Kay Lipstick Review

This product in a nutshell is: every lip-product junkie's dream!  Mary Kay brand lipsticks come in vast array of flattering colors and have a luscious, silky texture that really make the colors last all day without feathering or fading.

I have been a Mary Kay client on and off for about 10 years.  Some of the products are stellar, perform well, and last all day, whereas others completely stink and made my face look a little worse for wear.  Lipsticks from this line are one of the few things that I gravitate towards when I place an order with a consultant.  They are amazing!  I have yet ti be dissatisfied with any of the colors or performance of these lipsticks.

I like my lips to have more of a matte finish for daytime, so I apply a lip balm prior to putting on lipstick.  (My favorites are Softlips Lip Protectant, of which I have reviewed on this site, and Bonne Bell Lip Smackers.)  Usually, I apply lipstick straight from the tube, but for a more matte look that really stays in place, I'll use a lip brush and paint it on.  The finished look is very lovely and really stands out.  My favorite shade is "Mocha Freeze" which is a metallic brown with an understated shimmer.  The color lasts all day and is so flattering!  My lips feel great and look a smidge more plump when I use a matching lipliner.  Mary Kay Creme Lipstick is long-lasting also.  It survives my morning cup of joe and does not need to be reapplied until it's time for dinner and drinks.

I give this product 5/5 stars because: it makes my lips look and feel sexy and beautiful.  Mary Kay, in my mind, is THE leader in lip products and if they ever get rid of the Mocha Freeze shade, I'll just cry!  Boo hoo!
