Mary Kay Signature Facial Highlighting Pen

One of the advantages of having my own personal Mary Kay consultant is that I get to try before I buy with new products.  The last time I sat down to try out new things, a facial highlighter wasn't on my list of things I thought I needed.  But with my makeover complete, my consultant suggested I try a highlighting pen.  No harm done, I thought.  I won't buy this but I'll try it.  Sold!

The Mary Kay Facial Highlighting Pen is meant to be used in the inner corners under the eyes, along smile lines and below the lip.  I never really thought of myself has having particularly dark circles under my eyes but certainly there's always a shadowy look there.  When I used the highlighting pen just under one of my eyes alone the difference was amazing to me.  I won't say I looked beautiful or 10 years younger but I did look brighter, happier and it was definitely a more attractive look.  

Tips for Using the MK Facial Highlighting Pen:

The pen has a small brush on one end and a twist cap on the bottom.  Make one "click" turn and wait.  One drop is all you need to highlight under both eyes.  I was impatient at first and was clicking away, only to find the product dripping.  Too much is really too much here so start with a tiny amount and you can always add more.

My Viewpoint: Most days I am just a light foundation and lip gloss girl but when I want to put together the whole look, I use the MK Facial Highlighting Pen.  It doesn't attract attention to the highlights, it really just draws more attention to the eye color above and makes me look more refreshed.  The pen was $18.00 but after six months I have lots of product to go.  The difference it makes in how I look, and how I feel about how I look, is worth the money and the seconds it takes to apply the MK Highlighting Pen.
