It just takes a dab and it is cost effective

I happen to like most of the Mary Kay products but some I feel are rather pricey. The Mary Kay Emollient Night cream is one of the exceptional products. While it cost more than some night creams it takes a lot less and it will make your skin feel soft and youthful. My skin has began to be on the dry side and this cream feel so great, it makes the skin feel baby soft. I really recommend this product if your skin feels dry. Effectiveness Worth the money. I could begin to tell a difference right away. My skin suddenly went from dry and aging to soft and young. This product is worth the money and I would highly recommend it to anyone but in particular anyone with dry, itching skin. Ease of Application It is in a small squeeze tube and the only thing that I have had a problem with is, squeezing to much out and then it is wasted. Scent There is very little scent to this product. I am super sensitive to fragrances and this product does not bother me at all.

Greasy!

This Mary Kay night cream is nothing more than an overpriced pink vaseline product. The representatives will try and sell it to you as something that will do a great job at hydrating your skin at night. While this is true for super dry skin, vaseline will do the same exact thing and is probably a bit too much unless your face is insanely dry. This is one of those products that you will want to touch and feel before making the plunge to buy it. The only places I would recommend using this product would maybe be your hands and feet if they are cracked but again you will be paying a lot of money for something that is a lot cheaper from the drugstore. I also have a hard time with products from Mary Kay because you have to go through the consultants which means extra markup. Ease of Application The feeling of this product is a super thick gel that you have to smear all over your hands and let it sit. It feels like grease and is very difficult to get the feeling that it is completely removed. Scent The scent is an odd smell though not horrible it isn't a fresh or perfume smell.

Intense Moisturizer

This is the stuff I often put on my feet at night for deep moisturizing, especially in the winter when my skin gets so dry. It's so greasy that I put a glob on one foot then rub my feet together like I would my hands. For very dry skin, this is really good for that. It's also nice to rub into elbows and knees. If you don't like a really greasy feel after lotion is supposed to absorb into the skin, then you probably wouldn't like this stuff. It has a similar texture to petroleum jelly. It costs much more than petroleum jelly, but is less harmful because it lacks the petroleum. Also, unless you have a Mary Kay consultant, it might be hard to come by this cream. It's not something you can by in a department or drug store. Possibly you could find it online. Confession: I order this through a friend who has a Mary Kay consultant. There aren't that many things I need from MK so I don't want to be bothered by a salesperson calling to ask if I want to order something.

Not a fan of this bacon-grease-like cream

I picked up some of this Mary Kay Extra Emollient Night Cream as part of a set of new Mary Kay products. I have been looking for a new night cream after the last one I tried made my face break out something awful. I was so disappointed even though I really wanted to like this night cream. First impressions were that this was like a tube of Vaseline. Who wants to slather petroleum based products all over their face?! Eww! This was sort of upsetting as if I wanted to use Vaseline I would have just bought some for a buck at the drugstore. Instead I paid 6 bucks for a really small tube of this cream from Mary Kay. I did go ahead and try the cream, thinking maybe the results would be worth it and it had some special ingredients. Upon applying this to my face I realized that it's more like bacon grease than Vaseline (still not a pleasant feeling). The cream left my face feeling slick and greasy. Even worse? The cream made my face break out like crazy the next day. So upnhappy with this product. Scent The scent is awful. Smells like old people.

Mary Kay Extra Emollient Night Cream Moisturizes Like No Other

4

I originally got the Mary Kay Extra Emollient Night Cream as part of the Satin Hands set, but have since purchased a few tubes of the cream on its own.  I mainly use it on my feet, as my heels tend to get very dry and need a little extra care.  I started doing this after my Mary Kay consultant said that she regularly used it to keep her feet moisturized.  It is a very thick product, almost like a thicker version of petroleum jelly.  It can be a bit messy and sticky, so I don't want to get it on anything, but I put a good layer of it on my feet, mostly my heels, and cover it with socks.  This is especially nice to do before going to bed.  Even when my feet are really dry, it can work wonders, even in one night.  My husband likes to use it on his hands, but I find it too messy to put it on my hands and leave it on so I only use it on them when using the full Satin Hands system.  The Mary Kay Extra Emollient Night Cream is definitely a thick, messy product, but it is also a great moisturizer.  This is particularly true for a tough, dry area like the heals.  Though this product is not made specifically for feet, I've never found another moisturizer for the feet that works as instantly or as well as this one does.

Amazing for extremely dry skin

4

As a teenager, I had extremely dry skin. I remember one Christmas I actually had raised welts on my face because of how dry my face would get in the winter. This cream was recommended by a friebd and worked wonders. I would pop ut it on my skin at night, then wash any residue off in the morning with Mary Kay Timewise. Now obviously, this isn't for everyone, and it is definitely not for a typical teenager, but it works miracles on dry skin. I still have dry skin, but I have eliminated a lot of chemicals from my daily routines. I know apply organic extra virgin coconut oil at nig by and wash in the morning. I loved this product though as it gave me so much relief. Bottom line: this is not a moisturizer. This is a balm for the most severe dry skin. If you do not have dry skin, do not use this product. If you have been suffering from extremely dry skin, this could provide you the relief you've been searching for.

Absolutely amazing!!!!

The very first night I used this I woke up with a super smooth soft face. Even the lines around my eyes were softened. Works amazing on hands and feet as well. I will forever use this!! Ease of Application Greasy when you first put it on but it's a nighttime product so it doesn't matter. Scent Smell is not nearly as bad as some products but it's still smells a little powdery and outdated.

too greasy for me

2

I was looking for something moisturizing but not greasy. There is a difference between the two. Also this say extra emollient night CREAM. What I used was not a cream but a petroleum based product. So that is why it was greasy. I did not know this because the sales representative/beauty consultant did not have a sample with her but convinced my I would like it. I used some of the companies products before and they were OK so I thought I would try this on her recommendation. Despite the greasiness I gave it a few days to try it out. Definitely not for me. Now comes the next problem. Since this was bought from a "beauty consultant" aka direct marketing sales person, I felt l did not want to return. I know the company policy is satisfaction guarantee but I felt bad asking for a refund from her. If I had bought this from a store front with the same product I would not have hesitated to return this. The fact that this person would loose money she thought she made off of me made me keep a product that was not for me. Effectiveness It may have added moisture not sure because I couldn't get over the greasiness.

Ewww YUCK!

I like Mary Kay for the most part. I have rarely had a problem with one of their products. I recently entered my 30's (a few years ago) and decided I should probably start doing the whole no-wrinkles skin care routine. I shopped around and discovered that a LOT of the night creams and moisturizers were WAY out of my price range, so I was happy to discover this Extra Emollient Night Cream was within my price-range and from a company I respected. Unfortunately the joy died there. I was unhappy right away with the smell of the product. It was very strong and made my eyes water. I applied it sparingly hoping that if it worked well I could learn to live with the smell. The next morning my face was red, puffy and had little bumps all over. Bad, bad reaction to who-knows-what-chemical in the formula. I sent it back immediately. Effectiveness No clue how well it works since it just made me puffy and sore! Ease of Application Not too hard to apply as long as you can tolerate the smell. Scent BLECH! It should have been warning enough to me that there was some unpleasant ingredients in the mix.

Gets Rid of Dry Skin Patches Quickly!

5

Mary Kay Extra Emollient Night Cream is great for dry skin. I have very dry skin on my face at times and as soon as I put this on my face at night before bed, I immediately see results in the morning. I just use this for a few nights and then the skin on my face is normal again for a while. I have also used this Mary Kay Extra Emollient Night Cream on my feet and elbows and had the same awesome results. You don't need to use much of this product to get these great results. A tube of this goes a long way, which makes it very affordable. This product does not have a scent, which makes it nice for those of us that don't like to wear things that have a perfume scent. The one downside of this product is the very greasy texture. You can't really rub it into your skin, just rub it on and leave there until morning. Overall, Mary Kay Extra Emollient Night Cream is a terrific product and my dry skin couldn't live without it!
